I love the opening scene--it is so funny when Gilligan gets startled by the noise as he is about to eat the banana.

My husband always complains that this episode is extremely boring and that he cannot stay awake during it. He also comments on how he can see the string attached to Gilligan's hat when the gas makes it float in the air.

Did you notice that Gilligan's zipper opens up when he falls on the floor after the balloon incident?

It's amazing that they have a washing machine and I don't even have one!

What made Ginger decide to stop trying to fix the boy's hair? I never really got that.

This is one of my least viewed episodes, because I don't get much from it. Although, I did enjoy seeing a very young Kurt Russell.

I read in Sherwood's book that some enslaved people who had seen this episode used this idea and it actually worked! Not sure how true it is, but it'd be funny to look up in the sky and see that thing!

I always thought MaryAnn's comment "when fishing for boys, the proper bait is girs" was a tad out of character. I could easily seeing Ginger saying that rather than MaryAnn.

I love when Gilligan and the Jungle Boy are shooting spitballs or whatever at each other!

I find it rather surprising that the Professor considers the flight to Hawaii with the jet pack too risky for an adult, even though the jet pack can be steered, yet is perfectly willing to send a child up in a balloon that cannot be. Has he never heard of Amelia Earhart?

I can't think of any Gilligan episode I find boring.

I did notice the string holding Gilligan's hat, but the series has so many bloopers and blunders and continuity glitches it almost would be the same without them:lol:
