yeah that was disappointing dawsonsgirl regarding gina and hank. they had the potential to be one of tv's super hot tv couples. they definately had chemistry and ada maris was so funny. i loved her character. its too bad nbc screwed with that show so much. i liked the addition of jack trenton in the 2nd season but when they added loni anderson into the mix in season 3 and made jack trenton go from subplots to the shows main focus it went downhill, theantics of his character were ok in small doses but not enough to devote a whole show to. hank and gina's storyline became a subplot instead as well as the rest of the original cast who had to take a backseat to loni anderson's character casey, jack trenton and paco. the rest of the cast were nothing morre than glorified extras who were either sounding boards for casey or were used to advance jack's schemes which was unfair since characters like annie, hank, gina and julie had been with the show from the beginning. sorry for the rant, nurses is my favorite show and i'm very passionate as it had so much potential to be a tv classic. the characters personalities were so diverse and the writing witty, its a shame it was shortlived. i think it was the best out of all the witt/thomas/harris produced shows

I used to watch that whole NBC Saturday lineup and Nurses is the only one that still sticks out to me. I have about 3 episodes on tape somewhere...I think one is the episode with the hurricane, where Rose Nylund came to volunteer at the hospital and stopped that gang fight. lol...that was so random.

I just copied and pasted my response from a thread I did on romantic tv couples:

Charles and Caroline Ingalls - LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE
There is an episode when Charles loses his job temporarily and the entire family pitches in to make ends meet. While Caroline is plowing the fields, Charles approaches and says thee most romantic thing a man has said to his "wife" that I have ever heard. It tugs at my heart everytime he says it. He touches her face and says, "Caroline, the only thing I am sorry abt being married to you, is that I won't ever again have the pleasure of asking you to be my wife". Awwwwwwww, damn, that is straight out so sweet and romantic!!!!!

Nope. No joke. I had to give kudos to Bobby and April after she became a nicer person. I loved the romance between them during her last two years on the show.

I feel the same way. According to The Dukes Of Hazzard Unofficial Companion, Sorrell Booke loved playing Boss so much he would go on personal appearances in character and costume. In fact, his tombstone reads, "Beloved Pa, Grandpa, Brother, and Boss". What a cool guy!

Pretty much the entire Dukes cast was/is very enthusiastic about the series and their characters. John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach have done episode commentary on the DVDs. Ben Jones and Sonny Shroyer have participated in the extras as well. Ben Jones owns stores that sell Dukes merchandise and also holds the annual Dukes Fest. Of course, in the series' heyday, many of the cast members would do personal appearances at car shows and the like on weekends.

Yes, it IS refreshing to hear about actors like that! More actors would do well to follow their example. :D

I know that James Best, Sonny Shroyer, and Rick Hurst all dress up in Hazzard County police uniforms when making public appearances.

On John Schneider's official website, he is the co-ordinator for 'Dukefest 2008', an annual fair that celebrates 'The Dukes of Hazzard' and its fans. 'Dukefest 2008' takes place June 28-29 in Atlanta, GA. The entire cast is appearing live for autographs and performances - John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Ben Jones, Catherine Bach, James Best, Sonny Shroyer, and Rick Hurst.

I thought Boss and Lulu Hogg were a funny couple. Same with Rosco and Flash, his basset hound.

I remember when I made a thread abt tv romantic couples, it was because I had just heard Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) say on tv:

"Cliff and Claire Huxtable are thee most romantic couple to ever be seen on television." Oooookay.

I then decided to ask the posters here who they thought and it was amazing (understandably) how many OTHER couples come to mind and who were acknowledged on that thread. ;) Seems like nothing has changed. I am not saying Cliff and Claire are not romantic, I was merely taken aback by Phylicia's statement/claim.
