Is that commercial supposed to be a take off of the "I'm as mad a hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" scene from Network?

There used to be three of those Freecreditreport.com ads--for some reason they stop airing the "I Married My Dream Girl and we're living in her parent's basement" one.

Gotta admit, these ads are far catchier than the boring ads with the red headed dude asking "Do you know what 580 means? It's my credit score" ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Oh god...all those commercials they show during daytime TV...horrible! Too many ads telling people to go back to school, as if the only people watching TV at 11am are out of work or something.

I have to admit I enjoyed the Safe Auto ads, especially the grandparents' anniversary party ("oh my...a leather thong!") and the kid asking his dad where babies come from. Those were always a lot of fun.

Actually, I like the commercial.

It's also shown on local channels here, such as CW, FOX and WSBK! I enjoyed seeing them all yelling out their windows that famous line!!

Incidently, in january, I WAS saying that when I was awaiting word from Social Security as to whether I'd start receiving disablity payments - and they started in February.

IT'S MY MONEY, AND I NEED IT NOW!!!!!!!!!

But the one that I hate the most is the one from Lincholn Tech (formerly CEI)!!! They been showing that same old tired commercial since around '00!!!! It just goes right through my skin!!!! Whenever it comes on, I immediately change the channel!!

As if it doesn't come on enough during the day, now it's on the Food Network at night!!!! So stupid and ridiculous!!!

Those blasted lawyer, structured settlement and supposed disability settlement commercials are mainly meant for the elderly, in hopes that those co's can somehow gain their trust and confidence and then bilk some of them out of their money.

They seem to thrive on getting their victims to sign up for their services, hoping that they can somehow get access to their money and then clean them out!

As for the ones that are advertising for supposed school courses, they are probably preying on teens and young adults to get them to sign up for courses that will get them nowhere, especially since most co's are going through rough times and are laying off people and outsourcing jobs left & right!!

I was a victim of this scam! It didn't cost me any money out of pocket since I was on unemployment, but I was suckered into attending a culinary arts program in hopes of getting a job as a cook, only to end up getting a slavery-wage job washing dishes and being paid slavery wages to boot!!! And they wanted me to kill myself there and work like they were paying me $20.00/hr!!

The local job search agent supposedly guaranteed that I'd get help looking for a good-paying job. My last visit there, they wouldn't even lift a finger to help me!!!

Long story short, I got sick though and was stricken with CHF. In the meantime, no one would hire me!! Thousands of possibilities and no job offers!! I got so sick of putting up with their games!!

I applied for disability, but I had to wait almost six months before I got it. In the meantime, I was suffering from extreme financial hardship and was about to lose my apt because of it!! But I'm back on track now.

This is why I don't and won't believe those lying scamming conning programs any more. They are so full of crap!!

Larenz, I'm sorry about your financial hardship and I'm glad things are working out now, but be glad you actually got accepted for disability. I heard that most people who apply for disability are turned down the 1st few times. I can only imagine how frustrating that is. I mean what right does an able-bodied person, employed, able to pay their rent & bills, have to decide that this person isn't disabled enough to collect disability and is able to live without any means of income?

Thanks.

And yes, you're right! Most people ARE turned down 2 or 3 times, and it's so sad. Like the money that you were forced to put away all throughout your entire working career, they don't want to give you until you reach retirement age!!

Yeah, I AM glad that I was successful on the very first try! And yes, there are people worst off than I am with more severe disabilities and can't gain their pride and dignity because they keep on being turned down for disability benefits!! And it's a shame!

I cannot figure out how JG Wentworth came with that commercial in the first place? But that phrase got very annoying each time that commercial would air and I think JG Wentworth wanted to attract more people to them and I don't think they even exist anymore because I haven't seen JG Wentworth commercials anyway. But I guess JG Wentworth needed a hit catchphrase in "It's My Money And Need It Now" the same way Life Alert sold millions of devices with "Help I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up"

They seem like a scammer type of company, and their ads were on marginal outlets like Antenna TV.
