View Full Version : Mc Man and Tate? GQ28 06-02-2008, 04:56 PM Larry Tate is always around, but where is Mc Man? Who is he? Was he ever on an episode I can't recall? Does anybody know? catlover79 06-02-2008, 06:10 PM Mr. McMann was Larry Tate's partner in the firm - and was only seen in 2 episodes...he was played by: Roland Winters - "Man of the Year" (1968 - Season 4) Leon Ames - "What Makes Darrin Run?" (1970 - Season 6) Adamantium 06-02-2008, 06:23 PM As much as Darrin does for that firm, you'd think it would be called Stephens & Tate. Forget McMann, lol. Jude The Obscure 06-02-2008, 06:38 PM By all rights, by the time of the Darrin switch, Darrin should have been made a partner. catlover79 06-03-2008, 12:42 AM Adam and Jude...you guys said it!!! Jude The Obscure 06-04-2008, 06:37 AM Honestly, this was why the later seasons are generally looked down upon--the characters had long stopped growing and there was no progress in Darrin's professional career--he was still basically Larry's errand boy/bi***. Larry himself was a parody of his character. comedyfreak 06-05-2008, 05:12 AM Larry held the promotion over Darrin's head to get his way and Darrin never got the promotion he deserved. catlover79 06-05-2008, 01:59 PM Larry held the promotion over Darrin's head to get his way and Darrin never got the promotion he deserved. I'm sure glad Larry's not my boss. Jude The Obscure 06-05-2008, 02:24 PM If I were Darrin, I would have left McMann and Tate a long time ago! Adamantium 06-05-2008, 04:29 PM My boss is always threatening to change my hours and stuff to get me to work harder. Now, I personally think I work hard, and everyone else there (I work at Kroger as a cleaner/bagger) think I work hard, and a lot of people compliment me. I say that so you know I'm not a slacker, I've just got a boss that is hard to please. Anyways, once I told a co-worker that with all of the boss's threats "I feel like I'm working for Larry Tate." lol They laughed, so I assume they got the reference. Jude The Obscure 06-06-2008, 12:23 AM Hey hey Adam--we got something in common! I work for a supermarket as well! (A mom and pop, not chain, though). comedyfreak 06-06-2008, 01:50 AM I use to work for Super K as a cashier, the only thing that drove me crazy was getting broken registers, uggh. catlover79 06-06-2008, 01:34 PM My boss is always threatening to change my hours and stuff to get me to work harder. Your boss doesn't call you "buddy boy" and "son of a gun", does he?? |
