Doesn't help that another board I also frequent is down, as well. It's not vBulletin; it's Proboards. UGH!


EDIT: Oh lord...

There was a fire at Proboards' hosting service. While it appears no servers were damaged, the resultant power outage knocked down around 9,000 servers housed there. This is a temporary board where we can chat and keep in touch while repairs are being made. Once they are finished, this board and all threads will go away, and the original will be restored in its place.

Proboards is adamant that no data has been lost, and that all affected boards will be restored as soon as they can. Please be patient!

The boards were certainly very peaceful over the last 36 hours.

The Sitcoms Online server is located in Houston, TX where there was an explosion and fire at around 6:45PM Saturday night. Over 9,000 servers and 700,000 sites were estimated to be knocked offline.

Thakfully, no one was injured and none of the servers were physically damaged. Power was restored early Monday morning.

The great sitcom fire! So many shows came back from after a fire, Happy Days, Family Matters, and now Sitcoms Online! I guess we have a new look like Arnold's did on Happy Days after the fire.

Is everyone okay? Are firefighters still searching the rubble because I can't find Joe...I CAN'T FIND JOE.

I was wondering what happend, I thought, Damn they've closed down my favorite site on the internet. I'm just happy there wasn't anyone hurt or any major damage and that it's back up and running again.:happyface

I checked this site out to see the cause. In this post-9/11 world I'm glad it was just a transformer catching fire and not foul play.

I didn't know what to do with myself the last few days. I spent the entire weekend talking to my roommate about TV shows.

He hates it when I talk to him.

I believed it was just my computer that was messed up. I kept thinking "I finally return to S.O. and now I can't get back on!" I imagined everyone still here just chatting away, and me, on the outside trying to get in but was unable to, lol.

I was frustrated. I'm relieved that it's back and now that I'm finding out what was happening, I'm glad everybody's okay.

This weekend, I spent a lot of time back at imdb as well as HTF. But I really wanted to be here.

I must say, I've always thought of SO as a very light-hearted website, even when there have been furious fights rampaging.

I dont think so... Todd got lied to by the host,,,, They said they were gonna give us a better deal but it is much worse....... The site is slow most times.etc....

Our host has a mailing address in Burbank, California. I would guess our server is physically located somewhere in California.
