and i thought i was the only one who called walmart that. i used to be a people greeter there as a part time job and when my supervisors were out of earshot i used to say "welcome to wallyworld" anyway i've seen sets like these at walgreens. they had a set of "the lucy show" with 6 hours of episodes on it for $5.99 or 2 for $10.00 they also had other dvds for $1 that had 4 episode discs of the beverly hillbillies, dick van dyke show, andy griffith show, dragnet etc.

They're are several seasons of Gilligan's Island and about 5 or 6 other shows for 13 bucks a season. A bunch of seasons of Roseanne for one...
They also have a bunch for 15 bucks, and for 20 bucks a season. Check your local store.
The best way to guarantee that you can see all that stuff is walmart.com . I've actually used their Site to Store thingy, and it's pretty cool.

The Wal-Mart stores in the Louisville, KY area seem to have abandoned most tv series on dvd. They have a few of the same old titles left and get some new releases, but once all 6 copies of those are gone they are never seen again. I purchased several shows at WM in the last two years at great prices but over the last few months they seem to have just stopped carrying them.
Meijer has done the same as well. They just have the same amount of the same shows they have always had, nothing new nor any re-stocking of seasons either. Example, they have several copies of Seasons 6 and 7 of Three's Company at the location near me but no copies of any other season of that show. In this area it is BestBuy for any tv shows and Circuit City is a distant second.
BestBuy is also bad in that if you don't get it on release day you may never get it. They seem to get in maybe 8 copies of a show and once they are sold out they never re-order which seems stupid to me.
