Like he had just gotten his braces on and that it was very PAINFUL to talk-lol

You would have think he would have skipped the ep rather than sound like he was in pain

When you first get braces, you tend to have some trouble speaking normally. When I first had braces, I tended to sound like I had trouble saying words with "s" in them.

Also, when you go in to get your braces tightened (every couple of weeks or every month, depending) your gums and teeth will ache. You can't avoid that pain. And I doubt the studio could afford to have Arnold absent for even a day just to deal with the pain. Until you have had braces, you won't know what it entails. Besides, if they wanted the show to be real, then here is a kid with braces and this is what happens when you have them.

The scene where he was supposed to SNAP on Willis and Mr. D didn't come off right because of his aching mouth-lol Tight Speech-lol

I didn't see the episode today but I do remember that episode because of what you mentioned abt how his speech was different because of the braces. That stood out to me. I wonder if he was worst during rehearsals and it just wasn't getting any better so they said, "To hell with it."

I remember when I had braces, the reason that I would sound funny from time to time was because I was trying not to spit on myself LOL
