I could never understand the Skipper's objection when Gilligan expresses his desire to have a "dance." So what? There's an uneven number of men and women. Not everyone is dancing at every moment at a dance. Is the Skipper, perhaps, with all his worldly experience more knowledgeable than I regarding the potential problems with such situations--or is he just overreacting??? Or is he worried, perhaps, that he will be left out in the mix? I'm sure Mrs. Howell and Ginger would love to have a dance with him for fun.
Do MAGs agree?? The "I baked you pies" scene between Maryann and Gilligan would have been so much better (in an MAG way, of course) if she hadn't gone and baked two pies for the Skipper, as well. Of course that would have prevented the pie in the face gag that follows, though.
What's up with Maryann in the exercize scene? She accuses Ginger of wearing a tight dress when she, herself, is dressed in a tight pair of shorts!

Maybe the Skipper was afraid that they were all secretly suffering from island happiness and would blow at any moment! I think it's a great idea to have dances on the island; I'd imagine it can get pretty boring. Also, more chances for possible love interests.. :D

This is something that gets on my nerves once and awhile. MaryAnn questions Ginger's moral code when she herself is wearing the skimpy outfits.
If I remember correctly (it's been awhile since I've watched this episode) there is a hint of GP in this episode. :D A very brief scene where the Professor stumbles upon Ginger who is sitting alone thinking, and they confide in each other that they regret not making more of their lives. I just wish the Professor hadn't gotten that idea and hurried off.

Mary Ann didn't say that Ginger's dress was too sexy but,it was more that it was not the proper thing to wear to do exercises.Which of you girls wear a dress to do exercises?Personally,I'm more confortable in short than a dress ;)
Yes, but she said Ginger's dress was "so tight." Look at what Maryann is exercizing in, though!!!

You'd think if the island were about to be blown up, instead of a pie, Mary Ann would be offering Gilligan a better dessert: like a roll with honey in bed.
