Pauly Shore's miserable excuse for a show aired on FOX in 1997 for a mere 5 episodes. I don't know why I'm even typing about this one  lol.

Did ANYONE get to watch this?

I like Pauly Shore. Missed that one, though.

By 1997 there was a huge backlash against Pauly Shore, which I've never understood. His act didn't change, but suddenly he wasn't cool anymore -- even his previously popular films were deemed lame.

That said, I kinda liked Pauly's sitcom and was disappointed the last two episodes didn't air. David Dukes was great as his dad, Charlotte Ross had incredible chemistry as Pauly's bimbo step-mom and Amy Hill was quick with the quips as the housekeeper. Actually, that was sort of the deal -- the whole show played like a series of vicious one-liners. The main problem I saw with the show was that whenever Pauly was paired with best friend Kevin Weisman, the duo were incredibly obnoxious. Woulda been great (in an old Fox show sorta way) without Weisman.

I didn't see it but I remember the show being heavily promoted by FOX. It's a shame that it lasted for five episodes, That was way too many.

I don't think Pauly ever became as uncool as Dan Cortese. :)

I remember watching this show - I think it was back in the Spring of 1997. It was just 'OK' - Shore had a certain charm about him that made the show likeable, but not exactly 'funny' or 'humorous'. It was mostly a one-line lame idea, overall.

Pauly Shore had limited appeal. His "weasel" act was cool to teenagers in the early 90s, but it got old pretty fast. Shore was fairly one dimensional.

This only movie Shore did that made money was Encino Man in 1992, and that also had Brandon Fraser and Sean Astin in it. In the Army Now and Jury Duty bombed. By 1995, Shore just was not cool, and his teenage audience grew up, and moved on.

Sunday at the Academy Awards two members of the Encino Man cast won Oscars. Pauly Shore was not one of them.
