I'm having a hard time remembering the name of the guy in this particular segment, but it always scared me to death.

It was a segment on a man who pushed his wife down the stairs, and his children witnessed him doing this. He took his wife out of the basement and put her in his van, telling the kids he was going to the hospital. Apparently, he killed her along the way and stuffed her body (and a very bloody sheet) into a hole in the ground. A passing motorist and his wife saw the man doing this, and they drove back and found that the man was gone and the woman and the sheet were still lying in the hole in the ground.

I don't remember the name of the man, but I've always wondered if he was ever caught. He was extremely spooky looking to begin with.

YES! Thank you...he scared the almighty hell out of me. Do you know off the top of your head if he was ever captured?

Going to Google other info now...

...I actually just found a YouTube video about it, and it reminds me of the scene in Jeepers Creepers where the van was flying past them on the road, the saw the guy stuffing something down the hole...

He was killed in a shootout with the police as they attempted to capture him.

To be more specific, he actually turned the gun to his head and shot himself.

Weren't the police closing in on him at that moment? Or am I confusing this with another case?

Yes, they had in fact blocked the road and were shooting at him but they only got the tires so he stopped the car and shot himself.

Ahhh yes, the General Wayne Inn Haunting.
You guys are awesome! ;)

Yes, that ghostly head is the reason why I still can not sleep with my closet door open, and I'm now 29 and expecting my second child. I am so afraid I'm going to see that disembodied head with its mouth open hanging out in there!
