I went to my sister's 8th grade graduation today (27th) and in order to get a program you had to pay $2.00. I was surprised that they weren't free.

Has anyone attended a graduation or some type of award ceremony and found that they had to pay to get a program?

Things used to be free....oh well.

I wouldn't pay $2.00 for that. I'd just sit there and be surprised.

I guess the school's paper, that the program was printed on, must be high quality? j/k I don't know what the quality of the paper was. lol.

wtf? That's just rude. They know that most people will want a souvenier with their graduate's name on it, so the school has them at their mercy. The money is probably going to something dumb, too.

sounds like a real cheesy way to raise $. If the sch really needed funds, they could have had some fundraisers or sell special refreshments at event maybe marked up a bit.

Jokes of stuff??? what does this mean?

On the free thing, we californians would say at least we got the SUN and WARM Climate all year to compensate for the wild taxes we pay to live here, but in recent months/years even the SUN and warmer weather are eluding us..... it's been one frigging cold very sunless last 5 months....
