I know that ABC Family cut out the part after it first shows Leroys on fire the part where the fireman takes a latter and it shows the fireman checking Laura, and Steve waking up from the oxygen mask. It just shows the building and cuts right to him saying "Did I do that"? It also cut the entire scene where Steve talks to Rachel about buying the lot to build a resturant (the scene where he's doing tai- chi). And then it cut out the montage of them building Rachel's place.

I completely agree. The majority of the 1st season was pretty blah before he came along.

I liked the first season without Steve and the eps with him as well.

It did cut the cold open and the entire scene where Steve talks to Rachel about buying the lot to build a resturant just like ABC family cut it. I think they edited back the little fire scene and the rebuilding montage because they used the short theme.
