Is that who distributes/will distribute all the HD season dvds? If so, I'm going to find their e-mail address for the company, and tell them to get going! Although I will have all the episodes within a week or two, I still want the seasons to come out, just in case and for other fan's sake! But good news, thanks for the update man.

Yayy! The very first Happy Days season with Alfred Delveccio (Al Molinaro) will be out on DVD although he wasn't billed or even shown in the o/c until the 5th season. Not only that, but also, the guys will be graduating from Jefferson High in that special 2 parter.

I bet it won't be out until at least next February, pardon my french but do you honestly believe these *******s when they say December? So many shows are waiting "for music", to get credits cleared and so on and so on but it takes forever for these shows on dvd to come out, and the interval between each season is unbelievable in some instances. For example, That '70s Show, has music throughout the show, tons more music then happy days and all 8 seasons are out on dvd, within a year or two after the show ended. Yes that is a newer show and dvds were no such thing in the 70s, or 80s and 90s for that matter, but it's no excuse. I hope the rest of the seasons come out within a year but executives love to sugarcoat bull**** as much as they can, to get fans excited.

can you verify whether the original music is intact on that release, or has it all been replaced like on the Region 1 version?

Funny thing.

Amazon UK lists the running time of Season 2 (R2) as 552 minutes and Amazon US has the R1 as 576 minutes.

BUT

For Season 3 the UK has it for 595 minutes and the US is 580 minutes.

Well, Dec's still quite a few months away, so they still have a while. Besides when people post stuff like new seasons coming out although an unofficial rumor, I always have a habit of talking myself into believing that they'll happen. And remember, S2 of Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and Mork and Mindy was also mentioned on a thread of this message board forum sometime before it was officially announced later.

hey iris happy days, i just wanted too say thank you for posting that clip up, you have really made my day, i kept on watching that clip over and over again, the fonz himself looked like he was enjoying the performance, i knew they might had sung again in that episode but it was cut in syndication, but again thank you. Hey i was wondering once you get the chance, do you think you can post a clip of the band singing rocken robin and the monster mash, thats if you can. I got an email from erin moran on myspace, and i asked her if the band did allot of singing more towards the end of the show, and she told me yes, the band did do allot of singing more towards the end of the. i really hope that cbs/paramount will try too put as much of the band performance on the dvd's as posssible, because too me that was really what kept the show intact when richie and ralph left, Hey i could be wrong and i hate too sound blunt, but remember when i mentioned in the previous post where i could have been wrong, where i said that i think i remember the happy days intro where the band was singing in the knew arnolds, as far as i think i can remember seeing on the abc version, where the band was singing the happy days theme with potsie of course lip sinking, they showed richie with his saxaphone, potsie with a black guitar, ralph on the piano and chachi on the drums in there black suits on the knew bandstand, I no in the knew arnolds intro they onle showed potsie, chachie and Al on the knew bandstand again i could be wrong but i think abc had showed that clip, because when we usually see the into of the band, we see them singing in the old arnolds, who really knows, but thank you again peace out

No. Because I don't have any Clips. And unfortunately I can't make Clips either. I was happy to find the "Oh Boy" online. And btw: I still don't have the "Monster Mash" Scene ... so if anybody could make me a Copy of that Performance/Episode, I'd be very thankful!

the band did do allot of singing more towards the end of the.

True. And unfortunately, lots of those Scenes have been cut.

based on the clip that i saw with potsie and jeniffer singing oh boy in the episode a potsie is born which was cut in the syndication version, that there could have been more songs that the band had originally did.And by the way, Ronny Howard AKA richie cunningham played in gunsmoke, the big valley, daniel boon, and the comedy SC-FI 1965 MOVIE called valley of the gaints where he played a kid wiz who made a some kind of liquid in his lab which ade people turn into gaints, they showed it one time on turner classic.

Yeah, in the 7th season, Jennifer Jerome was already long gone. Potsie had 2 other girlfriends who looked like her, but she's neither one of them-Wendy (from King Richard's Big Night) and Cassie (Ah, Wilderness). And I believe Loretta was the female accomplice of that guy, Eddie, played by Arthur Batanides. And of course, Gail Edwards later played Danny's substitute co-host and girlfriend, Vicky Larson, from Full House. Danny proposed to her at the end of S6 of FH, but they ended up breaking off their engagement. Anyhow, A Potsie Is Born was thought to be the last ep. with Richie and Ralph before both Ron Howard and Donny Most left the show in 1980.

Sounds very promising to me although TSoD have yet to announce it. I e-mailed Gord Lacy from that site, and he said this:
"Unfortunately we need more than a nameless person in a forum to go
by. We'll check around and see if the information is correct, but it
seems pretty fishy to me. I appreciate the heads up though.

Maybe this will be announced either in Aug or Sep. Anyhow, let's just give them time. Just something we have to be patient about.

Yeap Happy Days fan season 4 will be out on december 9 that was what cbs/paramount told me when i called like my mother told me, never believe anything you hear, but it looks like they are, we will have too wait and see until its official, again, i guess they are restoring and digital remastering the footages as well as addressing the editing issues and the music, hopefully season 4 will e cool. When i asked cbs/paramount home video whether or not its a chance they would re-release season 2 with everything intact, they said that it really depends on the fan base if fans write and make that request, wouldn't that be nice if they could and would release season 2 revised and looking brand knew with all of the music intact along with season 4 its only a suggestion, but they said the more fans write in the more it could happen. I was thinking too myself, pertanning too the last episode of happy days, too me i think that both joannie and chachi should have gotten married at Arnolds because that was mostly where they all hung out at, and them singing too each other, what away too go out. I hate too sound blunt, and i might have mentioned it already, but i was reviewing the episodes from season 1 and season 4 and i notice that whenever anson williams aka potsie webber sang songs, his name appeared at the end of the credits underneath all of the original recording artist, and even though the syndicated versions cut out huge amounts of footage of these songs that he did sang and covered, will be on the next dvd's because i no from season 4 to season 7, they should his name at the end of the credits, so that should tell us all something that whenever we see his name appear at the end of the credits, he did do allot of singing which was cut, i figured that out, because in season 1 episode give the band a hand his name along with donny most appeared at the ending credits, i saw the same thing in season 3 episodes of they call it potsie love, a date with fonzie, and fonzie knew friend, i thought i point that out peace.

Yeah, the S2 has the original music intact for the PAL region DVD set only so what they need to do is to make that available also for the NTSC region DVD set and fix those few S3 eps. that have the scenes left out.

I'm so happy that Happy Days season 4 is coming out. I was REALLY getting worried when Laverne & Shirley was released solo, and we went so long without ANY news. THANK GOODNESS we aren't being left out. I hope that we'll see the entire series released, as this was one of my FAVORITE shows when growing up. Even my daughters are falling in love with this show. I SO enjoy sharing it with them.

I've just received an email from TvShowsonDVD.com, saying that the Season 4 DVD release date is December 9th, so studd was right. However, it's not officially confirmed yet.

How much more confirmation do you need? Paramount says it's coming December 9th, and now TVonDVD has confirmed it after checking with sources for themselves.

Of COURSE the date can be changed, but that's with ANY release.

Me too on the e-mail coz I'm on TSoD's mailing list for this show. I'm so happy they announced this season at last which I figured they would sooner or later. Yet no announcement for the 4th and final season of Mork and Mindy, though, so it's now the only CBS/Paramount show that's not up to that season yet. Hope pretty soon for that show's final season and that they won't take as long for season 5 of Happy Days since that next season were the first for Chachi, Lori Beth (Lynda Goodfriend debuted in season 4, but in another role), and Leather Tuscadero.

Well hooray. I did see the reviews of S3 and was pleased to see that the music issue seemed to improve (edits still present though). They need to keep this up, BUT ALSO....BRING BACK THE BLUE MOUNTAIN! I just feel uncomfortable seeing CBS' logo on Happy Days (moreso since I hear they "upgraded" to the CBS Distribution logo and not just CBS/Paramount...either way it comes off like them putting things they didn't make/air under their thumb), and dislike logo plastering in general.

Studd911, if you really have connections with CBS, please tell them this much, stat.

I'd still feel better if Paramount DVD was still doing this and not CBS. I still don't plan on breaking my boycott soon, to tell you the truth.

Yall know that you can buy the whole series for good quality, every episode for anywhere from $10-60 on ioffer.com? Just thought I'd put that out there.

And some users that sell the entire show for good quality include the 2 reunion shows and possibly other footage, depending on the user and what they have HD wise.

www.tvshowsondvd.com (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Happy-Days-Season-4/10295)

Confirming our report last week, this morning Paramount Home Entertainment has officially announced the December 9th DVD release of Happy Days - The 4th Season. Running time given is 10 hours 33 minutes, with video listed as Full Screen and audio listed as "English - Restored Mono". We *DO* expect there to be music changes on this release, so be prepared for that, but the studio's formal announcement this morning didn't speak to that one way or the other (no surprise; they usually don't). We'll update you with anything further we hear about that, plus and other details as well as package art, when Paramount makes that available. Stay tuned!

i am so happy that cbs/paramount has finally saw the light. i believe that season 4 will be exactly like season 3, i bet they will have the songs that was not heard on season 2 like connie francis, treasea brewer, the coasters the diamonds and some of the songs that was herard on season 3 i would be shocked if there are any generic music replacements, i am glad that they are putting it out on december 9m that will give them time too address the editing issues and maybe the music, i no the band singing will be on there we will have too wait and see cbs/paramount does not want season 4 too be like season 2.

i hear you, cbs/paramount knows what the fans want they cannot offered too srew seaon 4 up, that is why i believe that they waited too release the series in december, again i hope too hear the same original music like in season 3, i would love too hear the diamonds the coasters, connie francies, treasea brewer, and whatever else they could get there hands on, hopully they have addressed the editing issues, on fonzie loves pinky i hope they will show the deleted scenes with them both riding there bikes in the sunset and i think that we will see more of the band singing, because like i told you in the previous messages, that i was watching a couple of episodes on season 1 and season 3 that whenever potsie sings we see his name appearing underneath the rest of the artist in the closing credits, i rigured that out that when he sings his name appears, i hope they address the songs that we will not see in syndication, where ever you see anson williams name appear at the closing credits that should tell you that he did do allot of singing which was cut in syndication, but we will have too wait and see but this is cbs/paramount chance too make up for season 2, it would have been cool if they would have redid season 2 they will if they get more letters requesting, iris, you have some of the vhs tapes of happy days isn't the band doing allot of singing which is not shown in syndication peace.

I hate that CBS is Fing up the music entirely, in orchestrating these DVDs for each season. It's like taking a part away from the show and what the show brought to everybody's televisions 1974-

i love myself studd911 comes too the rescue i hope that they have address the editing issues and the music. i have a very good feeling that we are going too more the band performance that was not shown in syndication, and the music which was not heard in season 2. i think that season 4 will have the same music which was heard on season 3 but i think we will hear connie francis, the damonds treasa brewer, and the coasters i would not be surprise too see todd and pavan review the episodes and the music which is included. As far as i could remember i actually saw the band performing in the episode of fonzie loves pinky, they were singing splish splash, and its late. one question somedy had mentioned that there was a deleted scene where both fonzie and pinky were riding there motorcycle in the sunset, was that in fonzie loves pinky three where she was in the hospital. Hey one last question, out of a tough gang fight, you got fonzie falcons and john travolta aka danny from grease T birds in a fight who would win.

i just have a question, since fonzie loves pinky aired as either a three or two part episode on abc, on the dvd does anybody think that cbs/paramount will combined the three episodes like a three hour movie i no that the shows itself ran 30 minutes just asking, i think season 4 will be off of the hook if cbs/paramount includes everything.

If you know each episode ran for 30 minutes, then how do three episodes add up to three hours? Anyway, hopefully, they'll present the episodes the way they originally aired: parts one and two together and part three on its own.

hey hd4 fans it looks like our dreams came true, i honestly think that cbs/paramount will make hd4 the best selling dvd ever, its on amazon.come the information it said that the dvd will have 4 dics and the runtime is longer then seasons 1 2 and 3, i am asking everybody if intrested, too call up cbs/paramount too encourge them too commericaly advertise season 4 that way if 4 goes well acordding too amazon that the price will be $30.00 for that much i hope that they will have all of the original deleted scenes and dialog and yes if they cleard the rights, all of the music that was heard on season 3 and some that was not heard on season 2, i think cbs/paramount was happy with the sells from season 3 hopfully tey corrected season 4 i no allot of the songs that the band had performed even the ones that was not on syndication will be intact, for some reason i feel good about season 4 but again if you all want too the number too cbs/paramount is 1323-956-5000, i hope season 4 will be worth buying, i believe we will hear connie francis, the diamonds, teresa brewer ad sogs tht was not heard in syndication, its time too make out move i no that they got allot of letters they beta not mess this season up, peace

hey irs-happy days, boy i am counting te days nd months for hd4 release cannot wait the cover looks hott, hey i wanted too asked you something, and i may have asked you this before but if i have please forgive me, you mentioned that you have all of the season of happy days on vhs right, well if so are all of the bands performance from season 4 too 7 intact that was cut out of syndication, and out of curiousty didn't the band play and sing the monster mash twice at the end i forgot what episode that was. i am not going too asked you about the songs because i saw the list, i was even reviewing on tv.com all of the songs that was originally shown, just asking, you what in the future if cbs/paramount does decide too to a complete box set of all of the seasons, i would the box set too be the utilmate directors cut, scenes that you could not see on the original arings maybe i should write too garry marshal about that idea what do you all think about that.
