CLEARWATER (CBS4) ― Former wrestler Hulk Hogan has been involved in a car accident in Clearwater.

According to WTSP, the CBS affiliate in Tampa, an accident involving Hogan, his estranged wife Linda and their daughter, Brooke, shutdown the northbound lanes of the Bayside Bridge Sunday afternoon.

WTSP reports there were seven vehicles involved in the accident and no one was seriously hurt. The family's white Mercedes was damaged and towed from the scene.

The accident took place around 3:50 p.m. The northbound lanes of the Bayside Bridge was shutdown for about twenty minutes but has since re-opened.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

The Hogan's role in the accident is unclear at this time.

The Hogan's are no strangers to car accidents. A serious car accident in November of 2007 landed 17-year old Nick Hogan in jail. He's currently serving an 8-month sentence in Pinellas County after pleading no contest to felony reckless driving that led to a car crash in Clearwater, which left his friend John Graziano critically injured.

Authorities said Nick was street racing his father's 1998 Toyota Supra when he struck a curb, spun in traffic and slammed into a palm tree. Graziano, who now needs lifetime medical care, is a former Marine who served in Iraq, Graziano was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a broken skull and other severe injuries.

Bollea, who was not seriously hurt, had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. Authorities cited him for being a driver under 21 operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of .02 percent or higher and having illegal window tinting

Sounds like a close one. I'm glad nobody was hurt. I wonder if Hogan and his wife are getting back together. I'm such a Hollywood gossip, lol.

This certainly is the last thing Hulk needs. His son is in prison, he is in the middle of a nasty divorce and the rumors of him dating his daughter's best friend won't go away.

An update on the TMZ.com web site listed that it was Brooke Hogan and a passenger who was not a family member involved in the auto accident earlier today in Clearwater, FL.

Earlier reports on the site and in the area media listed Hulk Hogan as the driver. Brooke was driving the family Mercedes when a car driven by Ronald Gallmon, 19, lost control changing lanes in front of her, colliding with her head on and knocking her car into a concrete wall. The police report says the other car was speeding and Brooke was not at fault.

Hulk Hogan was at the scene with Brooke, which is why his name was originally listed. The car closed Northbound lanes on the bridge for hours

i'm sorry but after hearing the conversations that took place between the hogan/bollea family regarding victim john graziano and the graziano family, i have no sympathy for these people. its obvious from what they said in conversation to each other that they have no remorse for what happened and only care about their own interests and monetary gain. i don't wish ill on them but in the same token i have no sympathy either. there's a movement among posters on tmz.com to send viacom.com and its sponsors boycott notices if they further support/produce or participate in any programming featuring or involving the hogan family from now on.

Whew! I used to live near that area where the accident took place. Wow. I wonder how Linda Hogan is doing. I did not know that Nick was in jail for that accident.

Add to that Hulk and his family saying such nasty things abt John Graziano, the poor man who is now a vegetable. :mad:

I wonder if someone has told Hulk that him being in an accident was God's way of punishing him. :rolleyes:
