When they are all on the couch singing and looking at the camera-lol

That was some goofy SH*T.-lol And it's a shame because the entire opening credits was great with the footage from the past and present but that scene on the couch just had to go

I just wonder how they got them to shoot that scene:

"OK, everybody. Say 'WORLD!'"

Mr. D, Sam and Arnold were the GOOFY looking ones on the couch scene. Kimberly, Willis, and Maggie were fine

They still could have gotten rid of that-lol

Seriously though. The ending did look fine to me. Everyone was okay IMO.

No more goofy than some of the contrived scenes from earlier scenes such as Mr. D singing "a man is born" on the balcony.

speaking of cast members singing did anyone out there see the tv special where gary sang high hopes ? it was pardon the pun .different and i dont mean that in a good way but i actully laughed my head off at the whole idea of gary butchering a classic standard. now whenever i hear the song on the radio i always think of gary but the irony is i cant remember the name of tthe tv special i sure wish i could

No need to backtrack. We all know that Different Strokes was a spinoff of Maude and The Facts Of Life.
