View Full Version : Desi Arnaz Jr. and Mike Evans Starring In "The Voyage of the Yes" (1973)
Zoneboy 05-22-2008, 01:40 PM Here's another made for tv movie that I recorded last night. The cast also includes Beverly Garland, Della Reese, etc... Desi and Mike also sing Simon and Garfunkel's El Condor Pasa.

Ireneparalegal 05-22-2008, 03:57 PM I haven't seen that movie in YEARS!
catlover79 05-22-2008, 03:59 PM I'm not familiar with that one - but I did enjoy Desi Jr.'s turn as a villian in Irwin Allen's The Night the Bridge Fell Down.
Zoneboy 05-22-2008, 04:45 PM The same channel that aired Second Sight showed this one. They've been showing made for tv movies mostly. I'm hoping they'll show Twin Detectives with the Hager brothers, Michael Constantine, David White, etc...
Jude The Obscure 05-22-2008, 06:08 PM What channel is that, Charles? A local one?
I always thought there was a market for old, forgotten, rare TV movies from the 60s 70s and 80s.

Family Net, It's one of the channels I get on Sky Angel's IPTV service. All you need is a high speed connection and a router to get it.

Never heard of that. Is this something offered through a cable provider only in your area or that part of the country?

No, Anyone in the U.S. can get it, The high speed connection can be from cable or DSL. Sky Angel sends you a small receiver that you connect to your tv, dvr etc... and the signal is sent through your PC. There's no dish and it's wireless. It takes only a few minutes to get it set up if you already have a router.
Jude The Obscure 05-22-2008, 06:38 PM Is there a monthly charge?
I'm not sure how to work a router.
Ireneparalegal 05-22-2008, 06:56 PM Here is the website for Family Net:

There is a charge but it depends on the package you want. A router is very simple to use, All you have to do is run the disc and plug in a couple of cables. Here's a topic I started a few weeks ago about the service.

What did you find wrong with it? The only thing I dislike is that the programming is limited but hopefully that will change.

It's not the programming. At this time, I can't afford to add extra services.

Ok, That's certainly understandable.
