Ireneparalegal 05-21-2008, 05:19 PM I won't be here to watch it.
It seems not too many early seasons episodes does it?
Scoobiedoo30 05-22-2008, 01:31 AM I am looking forward to watching The Diff'rent Strokes Marathron
nocomments 05-22-2008, 08:57 PM Looks like I won't have to record anything from the marathon. Though I'll be missing most of the marathon anyway due to work, but oh well. I look forward to hopefully completing season 8 next week, if all goes well. Then I can just focus on the ending of The Athlete, and Memories, to complete the series.
KingKoopa 05-26-2008, 01:38 PM Notice that the episodes in the marathon are dating and relationship themed. I wonder what "dating" has to do with Memorial Day?
Personally, I think it's an excuse to air embarrassing episodes of Arnold/Gary in dating situations.
Never mind Willis, Kimberly, and Drummond's dates, because they were positive for the most.
The folks at BET may have a hidden agenda.
ThomasE 05-26-2008, 01:43 PM And just what might that be? LOL. Hmmm....
TVFactFan 05-26-2008, 03:00 PM And just what might that be? LOL. Hmmm....
You know it the previous poster didn't mention the dating theme eps today I would not have realized it-lol
KingKoopa 05-26-2008, 03:11 PM And just what might that be? LOL. Hmmm....
They are going to air more of the embarrassing dating episodes featuring Arnold/Gary in the evening hours when most people are home to view and compare those with his real life situation.
It seems the only dates Coleman had were on Diff'rent Strokes when he was a kid, no wonder he doesn't want to see those episodes again, nor talk about them.

Nah. I doubt that the themes were related to insult Gary Coleman. These were actually good episodes.
guestguest 05-26-2008, 04:22 PM I just noticed something about the Hollywood episodes. They took Dudley with them to Hollywood and not PEARL?
TVFactFan 05-26-2008, 04:27 PM I just noticed something about the Hollywood episodes. They took Dudley with them to Hollywood and not PEARL?
Well it was no point in her going, Mr. D was going out there to see Maggie and while he was going to be doing that, Arnold would be with Dudley, and Willis would be with Kimberly. What would Pearl have been doing?-lol

Yeah, but if I were living with a family and they decided to go out to Hollywood and not take me, I'd be pissed.

She could clean hotel rooms. Get some change on the side.

The only reason Dudley went is because his parents were out of town
guestguest 05-26-2008, 04:38 PM The only reason Dudley went is because his parents were out of town
I know. He had to go. But why couldn't Pearl have gone, too. Unless she was asked and said no, I'm thinking things went like this:
Mr. Drummond: We're all going to Hollywood. Pearl?
Pearl: Yes, Mr. Drummond?
Mr. Drummond: Stay behind and keep doing your housework.
Pearl: @#$%^&*!!!
ThomasE 05-26-2008, 04:44 PM I know. He had to go. But why couldn't Pearl have gone, too. Unless she was asked and said no, I'm thinking things went like this:

Pearl: @#$%^&*!!!
 That was actually cutting room floor when this episode was edited. If Sony ever gets around to releasing season six, then maybe this segment will air.

I think the housekeeper doesn't need to go on family vacations. The Bankses on Fresh Prince went away TWICE, to Philly and Chicago and didn't take Geoffery-lol

I don't think so, either, but it seemed funny to me.
They never would have done that with Mrs. Garrett. ;)
KingKoopa 05-26-2008, 04:56 PM Nah. I doubt that the themes were related to insult Gary Coleman. These were actually good episodes.
The marathon isn't over yet, they're just warming up, wait until around 7 or 8 o'clock when most people are flipping the channels on their remotes. I would be embarrassed if my closest thing to a real date was when I was a kid on a sitcom 20 something years ago.

Pavan 05-28-2008, 08:02 PM Mrs. Garrett was the housekeeper the first two seasons on Diff'rent Strokes.
