DS writers seemed to be fond of doing birthday episodes--that is like 2 or 3 for Mr. D. We know Arnold had at least 3 birthday episodes. Willis had one for sure--going back to Harlem to have the party with friends. I'm not sure if anyone had a birthday episode.

Three for Mr. D. The first one was actually that 2-parter when he had that concussion from that traffic accident which I believe originally aired as a one-hour ep. And I think Sam had a birthday too. In the final season.

Johnny be good!

Mr. Drummond was about to sign those name changing papers, and ripped them up. He doesn't want the boys to change his name for his sake. I'm thinking after the final season, Phil and Maggie had their first and only son together.

I guess Drummond feels that it was unnecessary for Willis and Arnold to change their last names to Drummond. After all, Sam kept his last name, McKinney, although I know his father, Wes, was still alive. But all of Drummond's children had a variety of last names.
