What was the premise of the last ever Full House episode? Was it meant to be the last one? Thanks.

It wasn't exactly wriiten to be the last one, but they knew it was the last episode. Michelle gets amnesia and everyone tries to help her remember her life. The ending seemed like it would be a finale. Steve comes back for DJ, and they say that they will get through anything.

Isn't that the one where Michelle falls off of the horse?

I don't have the last episode on DVD yet, but whenever I watch it on ABC Fam or another station, I feel like something is missing from it. From what I remember, it had flashbacks from the previous seasons. Or am I wrong about that? I didn't really like the last episode myself, but I guess it was an okay way to end the series.

The last two eps had no flashbacks, instead only the main storyline about trying to get Michelle to remember who she was. But they did show her pics from previous seasons. Then they had one bigger sideplot about Stephanie and smaller ones with DJ, Joey and Jesse. And of course that dream sequense with both the Olsen twins.

The last eps can be seen as an officiell ending because they let the cast get thanks from the live audience "on screen" (calling them up one after another), and when they shot the ep I guess they wrote the script as a final ep. What I wonder is when during the final season they got to know that the series would end (because of Stamos decision to not renew his contract). I know that the channel who produced the series cancelled it and then another picked it up, but when during the year was this, so how long time had the scriptwriters to change the last part of the seasons to what would ultimatly become th last season ever.

must be thinking of a different episode because I know there is one where they used flashbacks-several actually. I remember the cast being applauded :clap during the final show. I thought that it was mentioned before the last episode aired that Full House would be canceled because a friend told me several weeks before. At that point, I hadn't been watching Full House for a while but I did tune in for the last show.

If Stamos had signed on, Full House would've returned for Season 9 on what was then the new WB network. I think they ended it at the right time. IMO, they had a strong last season (besides the "series finale").

Who knows?! If it had moved to the WB, maybe it would've stayed successful and finished off with a landmark 10th season.

Full House ended because several cast members, not just John Stamos, wanted to leave the show, added to the unfortunate cancellation. So they shot the ep, and there are rumours that three Season 9 eps were taped but then scrapped after Stamos said he was leaving...so FH added the lines in the final scene about the family getting through everything, the last lines of the series. Then the curtain call, which isn't included on the DVD GRRR
