I happened to catch a movie last night and it had "Snake" from Facts of Life in it. I hadn't seen this movie in years and forgot abt him being in this movie. It got me to thinking, how many actors/actresses that ever appeared on FOL have some connection with the Academy Awards, whether it was them actually receiving an award or they appeared in some movie or tv show with an actor/actress who did win an Oscar? This is what I mean:

Robert Romanus played SNAKE ROBINSON, Natalie's boyfriend.

Robert appeared in the movie FOXES with JODIE FOSTER, who won two Oscars for Best Actress (The Accused / Silence of the Lambs).

Robert also appeared in the movie FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH with SEAN PENN who won an Oscar for Best Actor (Mystic River).

In the same movie, Robert appeared with FOREST WHITAKER who won an Oscar for Best Actor (The Last King of Scotland).

Again, in the same movie (Fast Times) Robert appeared with NICHOLAS CAGE who won an Oscar for Best Actor (Leaving Las Vegas).

Robert appeared in one episode of ST. ELSEWHERE with DENZEL WASHINGTON who won an Oscar for Best Actor (Training Day).

GEORGE CLOONEY played George Burnett on FOL.

George Clooney later won an Oscar for Best Actor (Syria).

MACKENZIE AUSTIN played Andy Moffet on FOL.

Mackenzie is the son of PATTI DUKE and JOHN ASTIN. Patty Duke won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar (The Miracle Worker). His father John was nominated for an Oscar.

Mackenzie appeared in an episode of HOTEL with the late actress ANN BAXTER. She won an Oscar for Best Actress (All About Eve).

NANCY MCKEON played Jo.

Nancy appeared in a movie called LOVE, HONOR & OBEY: THE LAST MAFIA MARRIAGE. ERIC ROBERTS played her husband. Eric is the brother of Best Actress winner JULIA ROBERTS (Erin Brockovich).

There are more and I know we can come up with lots of them to post here. ;) :D

the last time I saw him on TV, he played Faith Ford's husband or brother-in-law on her short-lived CBS sitcom, "Maggie Winters"--I really liked that one!
