Well, for one thing Janet Jackson is much more famous now than any of the other characters from GT. She's more relevant.

I beg to differ on that. He's not "as famous" as Janet. He may be well-known in the entertainment field, but Janet is known not only as a celebrity but as an entertainer as well. She has been making music for over 20 years. If you ask any young person today (ages 18-24) who John Amos is, they more than likely won't know. But EVERYONE knows who Janet Jackson is.
