I just didn't guffaw as much as usual. What do you all think?

Yeah, she wasn't that funny and she wasn't his usual type of date. It was like he was dating his mother.

Yes.. that was the point. Actually, it was outlined in the first three minutes with Charlie's visit to Dr. Friedman.

Angie wasn't meant to be funny... It was another re-working of the theme of Charlie and Alan's issues with their mother. To review the last two episodes, Angie was the would-be mother that Charlie and Alan never had... and naturally both brothers were attracted to her for that reason. The comedy lay in the fact that both men were oblivious to this fact. Think back to the Lydia episodes

Kinda bummed that Rose wasn't in this one.. Her commentary on this would have been hysterical. Wasted opportunity there.

I actually thought the episode was friggen hilarious, but damn... the writers really need to give Jake something to do other than slack off on homework and skip book reports ad nauseum. It's getting old.

Also... Jon Cryer's performance was awesome... He was off the chain last night. :D Lol.. so evil and Machiavellian.

Yes, he became "Bad Alan" that he had fought so hard to keep in check since the Silly Putty incident. Heh,heh.
