I am a HUGE fan of Michael, and I am finally coming out of the closet to say that..... *blushes*:blush: There was a time that I was embarrased to say that, because I thought people would think i was a freak if I admitted I was a huge MJ fan....*Smiles shyly*:blush:. So, I began making fun of him to 'fit in." It backfired, and people began thinking I was a jerk.:( Hmm? What's better? being called a freak or a jerk? I'd rather be called " a freak" than jerk. I love him!:D

I am going to call this thread the Michael Jackson Appreciation Thread! Let's talk about the good things about Michael! :D

I never considered liking Michael Jackson's music "uncool." Despite his personal life, everyone generally agrees that his music career commands respect.

Oh, Janice! How could you ever make fun of Michael, if you really love him as much as I do? I would actually have had to hate myself for years, if I ever would have done that. Okay if you didn't want to proclaim your love for him from the rooftops, as you were affraid of being teased because of him. I've been teased because of Michael too, let me tell you, so I know all about that. But why did you make fun of someone you love? Sheeeeeeeeeesh... :rolleyes: Couldn't you just have done like my sister did? She really loved Michael for a while too back in the day, but she just stayed neutral and didn't say anything about him at all, except to other fans of course. I'm glad people didn't like it when you did that though, because that means there's some hope left for humanity. :)

Yeah, I did that because I had been having extremely low self-esteem at the time, but now my self-esteem is higher now, and I kind of don't care what people will say about me liking Michael!:D

I'm a big Michael fan!!! The man is a music legend!!!

Michael Jackson is actually a great singer. His older music is much better than the newer music, though. I think it's pretty much agreed that Thriller would rank as one of the best albums of all time, no doubt.

It's his personal life that I have the issues with.
