I recently came across 5 episodes of a forever vanished limited NBC retro variety series I recorded during the summer of 1985...yes it was 23 years ago already.....the series was on Saturday Nights at 8PM, it was called "Our Time". It was hosted by Karen Valentine, looking really great by the way, it is best described as a retro clean version of "Laugh-In"....Each week Karen had a co-host, examples include Don Grady & Tim Considine, Ken Osmond & his son, Paul Peterson, Harry Anderson, John Sebastian. The show was jam packed with little skits featuring Chuck Connors, Johnny Crawford, Elinor Donohue, Tina Louise, Dawn Wells, Dwayne Hickman, Deborah Wally, Jay North, Richard Kline, Adam West, Barry & Stanley Livingston, Phil Hartman (pre-SNL), Troy Donohue, Desi Arnaz, Jr, Barbara Billingsley, Mike Bonner, Don Defore, Donna Douglas, Tab Hunter, Dick York and one episode Jerry Seinfeld does stand-up! If that's not enough entertainment there was a musical guest who peformed at the weekly "High School Dance" at the end of the show, those guests included Johnny Rivers, Mitch Ryder, John Sebastian, The Mama's & The Papa's and my personal favorite Rick Nelson who reunited with the original Jordanaires and participates in a tribute to Ozzie & Harriet! It was a very fun show and a kind that will never return, a perfect time capsule and after watching it again after 23 years, it was sad to see all the stars who have passed on to TV Heaven since.

I've never seen it, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I know Dick York made his final screen acting performance on that show.

so it was 1985, eh? Boy was I off on my math

I vividly remember the Dick York guest appearance--the last thing he did before his health went into severe decline.

Hi Paul.

I vaguely remember the show. Sounds like you have such a collection of long-forgotten shows and specials. I can only imagine.
