Do you think the other housewives were too rough on Edie or does she deserve the silent treatment?

Yes they were a little tough, Edie didn't really deserve to never be spooken to agian by any of them, although I don't think this would have really lasted forever.

Was this just a way to quickly kill Edie off the show, because it didn't really make sense to me? I don't think Bree would have told her friends right away, and I wish we could have seen Edie blackmailing her in action, I think it would have made a good storyline. It would be really funny to see everyone react to Bree and Edie being best friends. I also thought that Lynette, Susan, and Gabby's reactions were unrealistic. What Bree did was to prevent embarassment not to help Danielle. I think they would have atleast been mad at her for not confiding in them.

^ That blackmail & best friends story-line would have been funny. But I guess they have something else in mind. They did leave it so Edie could come back, so that's good. I like her character, she keeps things interesting. And I agree about Bree not wanting to be embarrassed by Danielle's pregnancy but she also wanted a second chance at raising a child since her other two didn't turn out so well.

I'm so glad that it turned out the way it did. Edie is a certifiable mess. I am so sick of her blackmailing people. When Edie showed up at Bree's door, I thought to myself "please don't let her try to blackmail someone else. Please let's not go down this road again". Besides, Edie has done undesireable things with all of their husbands except for Rex and Tom. I felt so relieved when the Edie problem was fixed before it went any further.

Also, I like that Bree finally told her friends one of her many secrets. I think that's the only big secret they've really shared with each other as a group. Even Betty knew more secrets about Bree than Bree's best friends.

I'm not normally one to defend Edie, but I do feel she got a bit of a raw deal. Honestly, when Bree told her friends about her secret and Edie's blackmail I really doubt she included the fact that she was totally out of line in trying to drive clients away from Edie. That's messing with her business and livelyhood and the blackmail may never have happened if she didn't pull that.
