the only interesting ones are "With You" and "First Time I Ever Saw Your Face"...and those will be either great or horrible lol.

the rest are all kind of typical and predictable, they should do well though.

David A (Judges Choice) - it was good, but i dont think i care for the song that much. i liked the a'capella part and i dont understand why he didnt get credit for singing part of it a'capella since thats a very hard thing to do. but anyway..it was good but nothing WOW!!11

Pitch perfect :)

I disagree with Randy's causal fallacy that just because he sang this song well, that he can sing everything.

Syesha- Not bad but she has done better. I liked the ending though

Oh my gosh he did a heck of alot better then I expected he would. Wow what a voice Cook has. That was really good. I don't like that song but I really like Cooks version of it. Great Performance

Syesha (Judges Choice) - pretty good, but again nothing great. it lacked power and emotion. good vocal though.

David C (Judges Choice) - very pitchy in the beginning...again, decent but nothing great. STFU Simon. your bias is showing.

they all sort of did bad for the first round. but the song choices sucked so i cant blame them.

I think Syesha sung that better than Alicia Keys!

I really liked the elements of vibratto and vulnerability that Cook put into this song.

David A's choice wasn't bad but it wasn't the best song he has sung. I mean he sang it good but he has sung better songs.

David A (Personal Choice) - :rotflmao: holy crap. alright vocally no it wasnt good but him saying MY BOO = one of the most entertaining moments of the season.

I liked Syesha's choice (fever). She has a very smooth colorful voice. I liked this version

Round 1:

David A - He sang it reeeallly well. I loved it!
Syesha - Also incredible. I actually do kinda prefer her version to Alicia Keys
David C - Interesting lol...not as good as I was expecting it to be though

Round 2:
David A - Okay at the beginning it was just awkward...and I felt like he couldn't keep up with the words. It seemed like he was rushing. But by the end, I think he worked it out. It was pretty good. But yeah... David saying "my boo" is hilarious, I agree :rotflmao:

Syesha - I really liked this. She showed a lot of personality. STFU Simon it was really good.

EmoJoe

Syesha (Personal Choice) - average...not good but not bad.

i feel like all of them are....erm not on their A-game tonight -_- i guess since they had 3 songs to sing and not much rehersal time

 I didn't buy it either. And the way he rocked back and forth throughout the performance got kinda annoying. Needs to work on his performing skills.

I like how Syesha worked that chair...um, song. It was very seductive, lol. And Simon was so predictable, when he said it was cabaret. DUH!

I like that song but it wasn't his best performance. I agree with Randy he was a little pitchy. Overall he could of done better

I love this song Longer by Dan Fogelberg and David did a great job with it. Not his best performance but it was good. I liked it

EmoJoe
05-13-2008, 08:46 PM
David C (Personal Choice) - that beginning was definitely off-key. i agree that it didn't pick up until the end. not very good.

David A (Producers' Choice) - i agree completely with Simon...he did all he could with a truly awful song. SHAME ON YOU PRODUCERS. but these are the people who picked "She Works Hard For the Money" last year for Jordin so its not unexpected. he did a nice job though.

Krisalicious

Round 2 continued:
David C - Typical... exactly what I expected to be, but good

Round 3
David A - Quite possibly the corniest song ever but he sang it really well. STFU Simon. David didn't pick the song so don't blame him.

I agree with the judges on David Cook's performance.

The song that David Archuleta sung was TOO old for him; I'm sure just about every grandma fell in love with that performance :P

Syesha's 3rd song wasn't bad she sang it well but it's not the best choice for her and it didn't let her show off her vocal skills alot. I like her other 2 songs better

Impressions

Yup. The problem with Syesha this week is that the songs she picked only showcased her personality, and not her vocal ability.

EmoJoe
05-13-2008, 09:00 PM
Syesha (Producers Choice) - i want to know what the producers are smoking while they choose their songs. wtf was this. she did the best she could with it but i definitely didnt get that. and UGH at Paula, now she is encouraging her fans to vote more by saying that.

David C (Producers Choice) - i liked it until the end. then it got way too over-the-top. it was good but meh. i really just dont like him, not gonna lie.

she only picked her second song. the first song was picked by one of the judges and the third by the producers.

i dont know how to rank them because no one was really that good. but i will say i think Archuleta is going home tomorrow. keep in mind im very negative. but yeah. i just have a FEELING.

I can't stop listening to Davey's performance of WITH YOU from tonight. Hearing him sing these lyrics.. Simply amazing. DAVEY YOU'RE A STUNNA.

Yes.. the highlight of the night, for me. :)

Syesha so got screwed over tonight.

Archie's first choice was boring and so was his third, but his vocals in his third song made it awesome. And OH MY GOD. "With You" is soooo my guilty pleasure performance this season. :rotflmao: I actually thought the vocals were good - but the whole thing was kinda awkward. Yet endearing.

Cook's third song PWNED the other performances though. Oh my God. <33333

HEY LITTLE MAMA, BOO YOU'RE A STUNNA, HOT LITTLE FIGURE.. lmao. Oh Davey, you're such a G.

In other news, I can't stop listening to ''And So It Goes''. Easily the best vocal of the night. His voice just sounds so amazing without the band, when he starts it out acapella. I'm definitely in love with this performance. I loved it the first time I heard it but now I'm totally wowed on the 2nd listen.

Some comments about last night's show...

Randy and Simon should be ashamed of themselves. They pretty disregarded anything the contestants did and just took advantage of feedback time to throw potshots at one another. WTF was Simon talkling about when he said that Syesha, by picking her own song, had a chance to pick something contemporary to show that she can sing younger material. Simon. Both the judge song and the producer song were released within the last five years! Forgive the girl if she wants to sing at least ONE older song!

Archuleta's choice of "With You" was SUCH an obvious, blatant way to appeal even greater to the tween girl part of his fanbase. Notice how he stayed right there around the teenybopper around the whole song. I imagine about a million pre-teen girls hit puberty in that moment.

Based entirely on performances, I think Archuleta should go. But, because this is a popularity contest (anything based on vote is), I'm prepared to say bye-bye to Syesha.

Yeah that was a great performance, I actually was thinking he should do a Billy Joel song, but I thought he'd do The Longest Time or She's Always a Woman to Me
