There is one topic that I have been given the run-around for quite some time but never really received a straight answer! This has to do with Cliff's mother have moved back to Boston after having already set up shop in Florida. I know that she sold the suburban home that she raised Cliff in to have the money to move to Florida. After a brief period of boarding with the Petersons Cliff bought a condo in a singles' community. After having been gone for a while, Mrs. Claven came back north for a visit. This is the episode in which Cliff feared that his mother might think of Woody as the "son she never had"! However, I am almost sure that this episode ened with her heading back south after whatever conflict there was got resolved. I believe that it was later that there was an episode in which she came back to Boston to stay after having lost all of her money at the dog track. Another poster said that this was expressed through just one line. However, I am having a hard time understanding how such an important dynamic of the series got dealt with through just one line! They would have to deal with Cliff's ability and willingness to sell his single's home and find an apartment to share with his mother. If anyone out there can tell me what season all of this took place in and what was going on at the time, I would be "most" thankful!
