That hat was fly, but put it on some screwball like Screech and it is no longer fly. It is a disgrace.

What did Tom call the hat? Sky?

That was my favorite episode of season 6! But you have to blame Helen for that, because she made him feel out of place in front of her Harlem friends.

left him out of the convo???-lol He was old enough to get in the conversation without looking like a fool-lol Again, Helen was just talking to her friends and did nothing wrong. tom became uncomfortable because it was too many black people in the house.

Now that you mention it, you're right. He was the ignorant one by trying to act black. If he couldn't relate, he should have just excused himself.

I can't recall anyone ever using that word. I guess it must have been a term used, just saying I never heard it til I seen this episode.

yeah, i know it sucks. diff'rent strokes still hasn't been released on dvd either. i think it might have to do with the fact the jeffersons has never been previously aired on tv, ever in the UK. though i have been watching a few episodes that are on you tube

If you got DVD's from here in the U.S. would the discs work on a player you have?

well my portable dvd player isn't multi-region and so unless i purchase one which is, then it is not going to work at all.

Oh I see. That's a shame. Maybe you can get a multi-regional dvd player and I can help you get discs of the Jeffersons so you can enjoy the show.

thanks for the offer irene, but currently i don't have enough funds in my account to purchase the dvds and a multi-region player. i am going to email the network who handles the distribution rights of the show and find out if it is still possible for the jeffersons to be released in the uk. it is CBS, right?

Tom: "Yo mama."

When he tells Helen, "You cook like a chihuaha" it is hilarious. Just as funny as when Florence says it to George.
