I saw this article over at www.tvsquad.com and thought it would be fun to do here. If you could come up with an American Idol All-Stars top 10, who would you choose to be on it? You can even list contestants who didn't quite make the top 10. Here are mine, in no real order.

1. Carrie Underwood (season 4)- I actually started watching AI after I became a big fan of hers. She really has true talent and an amazing personality.

2. David Cook (Season 7)- Such talent and as handsome as anything :D I also like that he isn't the boy band type.

3. Michael Johns (Season 7)- He was voted off much too early. He should have made the final three at least.

4. Alaina Whitaker (Season 7)- She's another one who was sent home much too early. I would have had her make the top 10 this season over Kristy Lee Cook. (I will admit that KLC was starting to improve in the several weeks following her elimination, but she really should have gone home after that atrocious "8 Days a Week" performance.)

5. Phil Stacey (Season 6)- I think he's last season's most unappreciated contestant. He has a wonderful voice and a fun personality.

6. Gina Glocksen (Season 6)- Another underrated contestant from last season. I think she was often upstaged by Jordin, Melinda, and LaKisha.

7. Melinda Doolittle (Season 6)- Even if she was a little old-fashioned for the younger viewers, she has an amazing voice and proved every week what a versatile singer she was.

8. Kellie Pickler (Season 5)- What can I say? I'm a country girl ;)

9. Josh Gracin (Season 2?)- I wasn't watching back then, but I've heard some of his country songs and I like him.

10. Jason Castro (Season 7)- Just don't make him sing more than one song a week! ;)

2. David Archuleta (Season 7)
best MALE Idol ever. although i dont know if he's necessarily my second favorite ever. but he rocks and is one of my favorites.
3. Jordin Sparks (Season 6)
i didnt appreciate her until after she was on AI because i hated Season 6 with a passion, but i love her now. her album rules, her personality rules and her voice rules. definitely one of my favorite contestants ever.
4. Chris Daughtry (Season 5)
his album is possibly my favorite album from anyone on AI ever, and he was one of the best, most consistent contestants ever. one of my favorite contestants ever.
5. Kelly Clarkson (Season 1)
the original Idol...she's got an amazing voice and has produced some great music.
6. Kellie Pickler (Season 5)
Kellie is just awesome. i cant even describe why, she just IS.
7. Carly Smithson (Season 7)
she's got a really nice personality and a great voices.
8. Vonzell Solomon (Season 4)
Vonzell was really great. she was had a cool personality and her performances were always fun to watch.
9. Mandisa (Season 5)
Mandisa left way too soon :( she had one of the best voices in her season and her personality was awesome.
10. Kristy Lee Cook (Season 7)
she was my underdog of this season. i enjoyed almost all of her performances (no i didnt like Eight Days a Week) and i always felt she got way too much crap, so i was happy when she stepped it up and people started appreciating her. i loved "Faithfully", "God Bless the USA", "Anyway", and i was secretly rooting for her to go far :p

i guess...that was kinda hard. Carrie, Jordin, David A, and Chris are definitely my favorite 4 contestants ever, and Kelly is up there...the rest i kinda had to think about for a minute lol.

1. Kelly Clarkson (Season 1)
Seriously, does anyone, ANYONE on any season of idol even compare to her? She never had a bad performance. She is simply brilliant and can outsing anyone on any season... period.

2. David Archuleta (Season 7)
I think he is my favorite male vocalist on idol...ever.

3. Chris Daughtry (Season 5)
LOVE him so much... best "rocker" in the history of idol, but I think I loved him even more when he didn't rock out (ie Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman, What a Wonderful World) because it showed his AMAZING vocal skills. He also is my favorite post-idol contestant. I've liked pretty much all the singles he's put out with his band so far.

4. Constantine Maroulis (Season 4)
While definitely not the best vocalist, I think he is one of idol's best PERFORMERS ever. He has soooooo much charisma and a fun personality... and he is confident in himself. All this shows by watching his best performance and IMO one of the best performances of all time, Bohemian Rhapsody.

5. Chris Richardson (Season 6)
IMO one of the few people on Season 6 who didn't bore me to tears :lol: but yeah... his resemblence in looks/personality/performance to Justin Timberlake is a little frightening at times because they're sooo similar, but yeah he has a great voice and knows how to work the stage.

6. Carly Smithson (Season 7)
Fun personality, incredible voice... ROBBED but thats another story ;)

7. Clay Aiken (Season 2)
Mmm ok maybe Archie isn't the best male vocalist ever...I think it may be a tie with Clay. Clay had some really O_O performances at times (Grease is the Word...lol) but for the most part, his ballads were absolutely incredible. The best, and definitely one of the best idol performances of all time is his Bridge Over Troubled Water in the finale. Incredible...and probably should have made him win over Ruben, but eh what can ya do?

8. Carrie Underwood (Season 4)
Used to think she was a little overrated, until she sang "Alone." That's when I knew this girl was amazing.

9. Vonzell Solomon (Season 4)
Very underrated contestant. Sings like a diva, but totally doesn't have the attitude of one. She has a really sweet, cute personality that always showed in her performances. And she ALWAYS picked the right songs.

10. TIE - Katharine McPhee (Season 5) and Melinda Doolittle (Season 6)
Katharine is incredibly talented, beautiful voice, and had pretty much all great performances. Melinda rarely had any bad performances and definitely was the most talented in season 6. Problem was she was boring... didn't know much about her personality except that she was very grateful when being praised by the judges, lol.

Actually, in every top 10 there is someone everyone loves to hate...there's gotta be a Sanjaya/Scott/John Stevens in there for some entertainment in light of the tough competition. :lol:
