This should be interesting...
How many times did RS promise us an update on a story only to have it never arrive?
The only one I can think of offhand is the Victorio Peak treasure episode. I'm pretty sure RS said UM cameras would be present for an upcoming survey/excavation. We are still waiting for that segment to air. :lookaroun
Any others?

Or how about the "slow crawl" done by lifetime where they would update a case by scrolling text across the screen usually promising to bring us more information on a future broadcast. This happened quite a few times as well.

slightly O/T, but when I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of the Naked Eyes song. "You made me...promises, promises. Knew you'd never keep...all of your promises...why did I believe?"

Wow, good call. I was actually thinking of that exact song when I was trying to come up with a creative title for the thread.

It seems to be a standard practice in most televisions shows, many news broadcasts and current affairs shows over here promise updates & to follow stories and never do, it is amazing with all the repeats they used to show that two or three times a year they could have not just done a show dedicated to updates.

I can answer one of these: They never updated the Victorio Peak segement because nothing has ever been found as of 2002. At that point, the military once again had blocked access to the peak so it's doubtful we'll see or hear anything soon

Actually I have the update of the Alamo Treasure one. Its very brief and I believe mentions they found things like old tools and such, nothing of any real value.
