willjarmon 05-08-2008, 02:23 PM Look in season 8 when whatootalkinbout changed to whatttt
Pavan 05-08-2008, 02:34 PM He says it in seasons 5 and 6 still. Season 7 is when it started to fade.
Ireneparalegal 05-08-2008, 11:27 PM He must have been getting irritated with the phrase by that point. Not to mention going through his teen years and starting to become bitter.
MikeLutton 05-09-2008, 01:40 AM i know he was getting 2 old to say it by that time and proably got stereotyped by that time as well by season 7 he got to old to act like a kid wanted to grow up or so.i dont think he said it at all n season 8
megamanj2004 05-09-2008, 02:39 AM He still said it in S6, b/c he said that a lot to Mr. D. and a few other people.
S7 was when it faded, b/c one, Sam was coming along that season and two, it was used at all in S8, and three perhaps Gary Coleman got fed up w/ the catchphrase and to this day he still is.
MikeLutton 05-09-2008, 01:03 PM sometimes he didnt do the expression when he said it just looked straight at the person like he did today when he looked at robbie right to his face nsaid it
episdoe called moonlighting
Ireneparalegal 05-09-2008, 01:07 PM i know he was getting 2 old to say it by that time and proably got stereotyped by that time as well by season 7 he got to old to act like a kid wanted to grow up or so.i dont think he said it at all n season 8
You are right. Remember, nowadays he won't even dare to say it. He gets mad when people ask him to. It probably became tiresome to him by the 7th season.

People are not supposed to ask him to say it if they see in in public. Why would he mak himself look ******** and say it to a complete stranger?-lol

And my question to you is, "Why can't they ask him to do it?" It is not like everyone who wants his autograph wants him to say that. Be realistic. He got mad when he was asked on Surreal Life to say it. My God, it is not like he is being asked to shave his head.

Because he is not a child even if he looks like one-lol if someone saw him in public they should just say-"Hey Gary I'm one of your biggest fans can I have your autograph? And i'm sure that he would appreciate that type of approach

He doesn't appreciate any of his fans because his fans only know him from DS. A show and a time that he is disgusted with. He doesn't appreciate DS and what it did for him. He is a bitter little man... who can't move on and realize people will always know him as Arnold and nothing else. If I ever see him, I may rub it in his face.

NOOOO! Don't do that.

He is a hypocrite. He wants nothing to do with show business but he will cash in on his fame from a show that made him a star.
ThomasE 05-09-2008, 10:04 PM I feel for Gary. He will need to fight if he wants to have a better life.
Ireneparalegal 05-10-2008, 01:26 AM Gary can have a better life. He has a lot of issues that he needs to deal with. He can't do it alone. He obviously needs professional help and needs to be honest and not have an "attitude" which is what turns people against him. You can't get well if you have a lot of chips on your shoulder.
ThomasE 05-10-2008, 12:52 PM Each chip will have to be removed one by one. A lot can build up when you let that stuff build up over the years.
megamanj2004 05-10-2008, 09:24 PM The good irony is that he stopped saying it by S7, b/c if he kept saying that, then Sam, being the little copycat he is would start saying that phrase, too, which can get very annoying as well.
faraj 05-11-2008, 12:06 AM Yeah, I saw the Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Diff'rent Strokes movie 2 yrs. ago, and they had to "bury that catchphrase." But, generally, catchphrases always fades out in later eps. of various TV shows.
MikeLutton 05-11-2008, 05:49 AM he had np saying it in episode of married with children and last episode of fresh prince of bel air which he guest starred with mr conrad bain as mr drummond
