Ok I think this is how the final season and season 7 (which their was almost a seventh season, but not ultimately) should of happened in my mind/how the final 2 seasons should of been if they aired a season 7.

Season 6- Show Jeff/Chuck/Alice in acouple episodes then out, then bring back Craig Hobson, Doug and acouple other middle school friends. This would show that as you grow, you still have old friends their by your side, as new ones approach. Of course, Winnie and Paul would still be included. Take out unnecessary episodes from season 6 (the rolling stones one, jack's boss' daughter getting married).

- Have Wayne attend a community college (remember he couldn't join the army and might of been too dumb to try to attend a real good 4 year college)
-Bring Karen back with Michael- maybe with a child or two?- Norma and Jack= Grandparents

-Have Kevin FINISH highschool then comes home to have Jack dead on the kitchen floor (that's how season 7 was going to be)
-Cut out the end of the finale talking about Kevin/Winnie writing to each other- have them meet at the airport years later living in different cities, hugging each other as the best of friends (that should be the ending!!! to show that they won't end up as a family, but best of friends) which leads to...

1. Not always getting what you want in life
2. Nothing is expected
3. Still remain best of friends with long lasting, ex girlfriends/boyfriends as Winnie and Kevin should have

Then have maybe acouple extra episodes like Happy Days did, after their finale, to show Kevin as an adult, maybe 2/3 episodes, with a wife, kid, living in his parents/childhood house

Some of this can be organized properly along with acouple other plots, but what do you think of the ending/this ending? I think it could of been worked out as far as TWY goes..:crazy:

Hey, I like those! I also came up with the idea of a multi-part episode where the Arnolds go to Alaska to visit Karen and Michael. I even came up with an alternative ending with Winnie marrying Wayne (yes, WAYNE!!! Would Winnie tolerate the word "butthead"? LOL)--it would be a step up from what ABC gave us, as well as Kevin finding Jack dead after graduation!

How come ABC didn't tap you to replace Neal Marlens and Carol Black? (Their loss! :D)

thanks man, that would be interesting- wayne and winnie, hey the names sound great together though! lol. Yeah they should of had better writing the final season, and should of had another season on top of that. haha thanks, yeah their loss.

On the subject of Kevin finding Jack dead upon graduation had their been another season, it was talked about for a similar show, The Brady Bunch, of Mike, the father on THAT show, dying around the opening of what would have been another season of the Bunch.

Of course, this was due to Robert Reed being a pain to Sherwood Schwartz, the brains behind Brady Bunch. Was Dan Lauria becoming a pain to the writers on The Wonder Years that they were going to give him such an untimely death? Granted, he would have lasted up to the finale, unlike Mike/Robert.

^ that's an interesting comparison. I knew rob reed died of AIDS, but i thought it wasn't until like 4/5 years later after TBB was done syndication. I didn't know there was supposed to be another season, although I do know there was a supposed "lost" brady lol, although I'm not a fan of TBB compared to other shows, it's ok. Anyways, I don't know if Jack Arnold/Dan Lauria was written off for those intensive purposes, but that's interesting. Granted, if that season came forward and was an extra season, the wonder years wouldnt of gone on any longer/much longer without Jack. Not only because the show was at it's end/near end, but for so many reasons, dealing with the family/main characters of the show, even though Fred Savage was the main character/narrator, ya know? It still wouldn't of been the same without Good ol' jack arnold lol.

HOMEWARD BOUND - Kevin's never at home anymore, but after a lesson learned, makes it a point to spend more time with his parents.
A STAR IS BORN - Karen gives birth to her first child while visiting, of course at night- everything big in the Arnold house always happens at night.
THE CONTEST - Paul has some surprising competition for class valedictorian - Winnie Cooper.
A DIFFERENT GAME - Kevin is really bothered that Jack seems to get along better with Wayne.
UNCLE KEVIN - Circumstances place his nephew in Kevin's care, and it's Winnie to the rescue.
THE THREE MUSKETEERS - Kevin's dreams of he, Winnie and Paul going away to the same school receives a dose of reality as they can't agree on the same school.
AFFAIRS OF THE HEART - A two part episode that deals with Winnie's suprise opportunity in Paris and how she, her family and Kevin deal with it.
THATS MR. BUTTHEAD TO YOU - Kevin is shocked at how well his brother Wayne is doing in the furniture business and how much he's matured.
THOSE WONDER YEARS - A three part episode that deals with the aftermath of graduation. Paul leaves first, then Winnie, leaving Kevin to ponder his life and the loss of everything he has ever known.

^ Nice job. That's very well put, the episodes and how you orchestrated them and thought up the plot. I like that a lot. Especially the title "That's Mr. Butthead To You," and the title of the finale you thought up "Those Wonder Years."

Another possible name for the 2 or 3 part finale could be "Those Were The Days." Maybe.

One of my favorite characters ever was Chuck. He was soo funny, especially the episode where Kevin and Alice are in the car and Chuck pulls up next to them and then punches Kevin in the face the next day. Also, when they forget him in the bathroom on that fieldtrip lol.

Did anyone realize that Karen was British in real life, she did a really good job of hiding that I find!

Never was a fan, at least a big fan of Chuck, he was ok. Yeah I have heard that, and seen her talk in interviews, pretty good acting on her part.
