View Full Version : Shameful things you've done...
Warm & Fuzzy 05-05-2008, 07:26 PM ... Cheat on your significant other?
... Stealing from your county mall, and getting arrested in front of all your friends?
... Jack a little kid's ice cream just "because"....
Admit it, and post away! :D
PlayOn 05-05-2008, 07:50 PM this probably doesn't count/matter but when i was little i remember stealing of piece of candy out of the local grocery store. i don't know how, but my mo found out and she threatened to call the police (to make me learn a lesson of course) and i remember bawling. :crybaby:
in my early teens, i would look through my parents cabinets and steal there liquor and drink it that night. (sometimes they out of town on camping trips and i didn't want to go) i also smoked and watched adult moves behind there backs.
made love one time when i was 14 or 15..
yea. i lived like rock star. lol. thank goodness God slapped me out of it.
I have in the past behaved in some ways I shouldn't have on these boards-
and I am trying to improve myself each and every day.

Brieannas21 05-05-2008, 08:54 PM I hang my head in shame, but I must purge myself of this guilt...lol
When I was about 17/18, I was working in this clothing store, a co-worker and myself were picking up clothes and re-hanging them because this one kid (who looked about 10/11) kept running around and knocking the clothes off the racks. I asked the little boy to stop running numerous of times. I even asked him where his parents were and he gave me a snotty remark. So while he was running past me I tripped him. YES, I tripped him and he fell flat on his face, he finally ran off crying to find his mom. And my friend and I had a good laugh from that. It was mean I know, but something had to be done.

Karen64 05-05-2008, 11:04 PM When I was about 12 (it was the summer of 1976), everyone had CB radios. Me and my friends around the neighborhood would get in our parents' vehicles in the evenings and chat with each other.
This girl I didn't like had a major crush on a guy that lived down the street. I could see he was out playing basketball in his driveway-- (I could sit and watch him, but this girl, who lived a few houses down the other way, couldn't.
I began this chat session on this particular evening pretending to be this guy. (hey, 12 and 13 yr old boys and girls sound the same) I lowered my voice just a bit, and told her how I had a crush on her and that she should come on over and play basketball with me.
She got off the air, and pretty soon, I saw her skipping towards the guys house, all happy-looking! I ran into my house and almost died of laughter!
Then a little later, I saw her walking back, all mad looking and then I felt bad....

Ireneparalegal 05-05-2008, 11:16 PM I remember when I was 13, my best friend and I would order several pizzas and have them delivered to her cranky neighbor across the street. We would look out the window and watch as the guy would knock on the door and have 6 pizzas and having to deal with that old, cranky man.
catlover79 05-05-2008, 11:24 PM When I was in 7th grade I wrote prank "secret admirer" notes and stuck them in the lockers of some mean kids. :o I'm surprised none of the staff caught me. These days, I struggle sometimes with obeying the speed limit. :o At least I care and am trying, unlike many other people. We all have our bad habits and have done things we are not proud of. Praise God that He doesn't give up on us.

Oh yeah, NOW you know how to use that feature. :cuss:
On the subject of shameful things I've done, I may have to think about this a while.
PZelda 05-06-2008, 08:00 AM Ummm. Let's see.
- Smoked for a while at 14 and again at 17. Didn't smoke very long either time. I took up smoking again for a good chunk of last year, with my heaviest smoking taking place in the summer. Haven't smoked since February.
- Experimented with drinking beginning at 13. Never made a habit of it... although I would have the occasional beer on and off through my teens, making it more of a regular thing beginning at 18. Sometimes when I was mildly intoxicated, I'd hop on my bike and go for a short ride. Ha, biking under the influence...
- Then there was that AWESOMELY wild mini-road trip I went on last summer with two guy friends. I'm not even going to talk about everything that happened. I know there was a trip to the ER involved, because one of the guys managed to break or sprain his wrist. I'm not sure, actually. I just remember it was his wrist. And the other guy friend lost his glasses and had no old spares, so he went glasses-less for a while. That's just touching the tip of the iceberg here...
- Oh yes. I did quite a bit of partying when I went to NYC in early 2006... I was still 20, and it was a school trip. The teacher with us on the trip didn't care, as long as we were somehow paying for our partying crap by ourselves.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them all right now. I'll post again if I remember more stuff.
PlayOn 05-06-2008, 10:51 PM oh. i forgot one more thing:
ran away from home to my grandma's (who lived a few houses down) i did that almost every night.
treky 05-07-2008, 12:47 AM when I was in high school, back around 1974, a guy that I was friends with talked me into stealing some things from a girls locker with him. The janitor caught us, and, long story short, we were both suspended for a week. (I remember, I went along with this kid, cause I thought he was only kidding until he actually did it).
treky 05-07-2008, 02:57 AM I also met a girl on-line once about 10 years ago, we were talking, and I asked her how old she is. She responded "12" and I was 47, so I just logged off without "saying" anything!!
And from then on; I just ignored all her e-mails to me-whenever I saw one in my inbox, I didn't even open it, I just deleted it!!
I wonder whatever happened to her?
But, I had the same thing happen to me recently-I met a girl online, and we'd "talk" by IM every night, e-mail each other, even write letters to each other. But then, she just "up and vanished". She stopped answering my e-mails, and responding to my letters.
I wonder what ever happened?
sunshinefizzy 05-07-2008, 01:09 PM I said the f word in front of my grandma and she had a stroke. Don't take it literally, I didn't kill her.
Yeah, I have masturbated in places I shouldn't (like at work)
So basically it's my swearing and fondling that gets me in trouble.
Hollow 05-07-2008, 07:40 PM lol
coffield3 05-07-2008, 08:36 PM When I was a young teenager I stole a pen-knife from my granddad, it was one he had since the navy, I gave it a boy I liked at the time. I didn't realise what that knife meant to him, I was so dumb and foolish. When my family found out that it was me my dad took me the police station to teach me a lesson and boy it did. That was many years ago. I never stole again.
Also I did not know it was his navy knife. I was very young and very stupid.

LuLu Rogers 05-14-2008, 11:42 PM I still have my v-card, but I've fooled around with a guy friend of mine several times even though he's not the slightest bit intersted in dating me.
I've gotten into a bad habit of lying to my parents to keep them off my back.

Be careful, Lu...it's real easy for things to go too far and you'll end up cardless, so to speak. It'd be a zillion times worse if the guy didn't love you, which seems to be the case here. I've been hurt by a few jerks, but I've learned from it and I don't want other girls to get hurt, either.

I appreciate that Monika. :) You're right, it can cause some big problems, so I've tried to be really careful, but you never know.
treky 05-15-2008, 02:39 AM ye Loren; I agree. Even though I'm a guy and you're 30 years younger than me: I can remember hearing about situations like that that "got out of control" so please be careful.
(in fact; when I was your age; it almost happened to me and a girl I was dating at the time. But, enough said-I don't want to "talk" about it)
treky 05-15-2008, 02:48 AM I had a "hot and heavy" "talk" twice with someone via e-mail.
Nighthawk76 05-15-2008, 02:20 PM I still have my v-card, but I've fooled around with a guy friend of mine several times even though he's not the slightest bit intersted in dating me.
I've gotten into a bad habit of lying to my parents to keep them off my back.
I think you might be heading into dangerous territory with this guy, Lauren. Sadly, there are many guys who are interested in only one thing and I don't think that is someone you want to get involved with. You want to wait for a guy who is interested in you as a human being and will respect you as a person.
Nighthawk76 05-15-2008, 02:24 PM I July 1997 I met a girl named Sarah who I was totally taken with. Her and I went out on several dates together. The problem was that Sarah had a boyfriend. To make matters worse, I knew that she had a boyfriend and didn't care. I had it in my mind that she would leave her boyfriend for me. In September I found out through a friend that both Sarah and I knew that she was using me to get back at her boyfriend for something. I was heartbroken. I also desrved what happened.
Cactus Jack 05-16-2008, 02:23 AM Trust me, I had my share of "shameful" things that I have done in my life; but when I was 12 years old, a friend of mine and I, literally destroyed this expensive book that belonged to her mother; then about a year ago, I found the same book on eBay; well, to make a long story short. I purchased the book and gave it to the mom, and apologized for ruining the first book that she owned...
Do you have a karma list Tara? LOL
Ireneparalegal 05-16-2008, 05:21 PM So cool of you Tara. ;)
catlover79 05-16-2008, 06:03 PM Nah, I just felt bad; and when I found the book on eBay, I decided to give this person the book ( I destroyed) even if it was 25 years ago, as a gift.
Now THAT'S a great way to make amends - way to go, Tara. :clap
