View Full Version : A Day With Bess Scene
ClassicTVGal 05-04-2008, 11:15 PM A Day With Bess is definately my favorite scene from Season One's, Bess You Is My Daughter Now. I really like the music too, LOL.
I know that the show was filmed in Hollywood, but... I was curious, if that scene was filmed in Minneapolis?
Thanks!
catlover79 05-04-2008, 11:37 PM I have no idea where that scene was filmed, but I liked this episode, too. Bess really was a good kid - loved the time she and Lou played poker for chocolate chip cookies .

Yes, she was very cute too! Oh, yeah. Baby Sit-com. I watched some of that earlier with my mother.
catlover79 05-05-2008, 12:02 AM Whatever happened to Lisa Gerritson, anyway??

She's one of those child stars who's acting career stopped after she reached like 20.

Just vanished into obscurity, huh?

I think they said once on N@N that it was filmed in LA. And if you look carefully, the same woman shows up about 3 times during the scene. LOL

LOL -- I noticed that years ago! And you really don't even have to look *that* hard, haha. Do you know they even did a commercial on that on N@N?
And I've counted her (the woman in the green dress) coming onto the screen 7 times!
Thanks, btw, Kristen! :)
JMFabiano524 05-14-2008, 11:14 PM I liked that scene a lot too, so fun, so '70s.

Yes, definately. *grins*
ClassicTVGal 06-17-2009, 10:57 PM I was just thinking about this....
Does anyone wonder what it looks like today?
The place where they shot the "mall" scenes.

That scene you guys are talking about is awesome; it really captured Mary's character and the kind of laidback, "takin' it easy on a nice afternoon" feel of the 70's, something I'm afraid seems pretty foreign today.
MTM fan - Holly 07-04-2009, 02:07 PM I am so happy to learn that she has a good and normal life and did not end up another casualty of Hollywood and families who look at their children as cash cows!
