I wonder what ever happened to him. This is one case where all the evidence points in his direction for the murder of his wife, Linda Sherman. Add to that the damning thing he said at the end of the segment at the very end of his interview:
"I had nothing to do with Linda Sherman's disappearance, nor her death. I still think that she left with someone and obviously met with foul play and...
[looks around the room] died."
When he said this he had almost a smirk matter of fact demeanor like it didn't matter to him that his wife was killed and her skull was found outside his favorite hangout. You think if he wasn't responsible, he would be shaken by the circumstances of it all. For me, he was the last person to see her alive and he was abusive and ultra-possessive towards her and he probably choked her to death and stashed her somewhere only to bring her skull back to present as evidence of her death so he can find another female to possess. I wonder if whomever he is with now knows of his past. If not, she should definitely be alerted by someone to what he is.

You're correct when you say that all the evidence seems to point in his direction. However, why did it take them several years to discover her skull outside of his favorite restaurant? Had he just dumped it there recently? Surely, someone else would have seen it if it had been there all along!

And, if it had been dumped there recently, why did her killer dump the skull? Why couldn't he (almost certainly a 'he') just hang onto it? Sorry, but this really bothers me!

It laid it all out in the segment. The skull had been placed there that morning because in such an open spot it would have been discovered by any of the patrons sitting by the window and looking out at the flowers and foliage like it was by the two ladies enjoying their margaritas, chips, salsa, and spinach dip. Apparently Don killed his wife, then stashed her body somewhere and decided that her body needed to be found so he can move on with his life and possibly re-marry, so he placed her skull (the one part of her skeleton that could easily prove her death) in a place it was easy to be spotted in public and in a place that was very familiar to him where he could hear the rumor mill about what the police were saying about it. When the police didn't realize who's skull it was, I believe it was Don that then sent in the letter claiming that the police had Linda Sherman's skull. This was obviously done to point the police in the right direction in an almost desperate sort of way. Now that it was determined she was dead and not just missing, then Don can re-marry and possibly have a stake if Linda had a life insurance policy (I'm not sure if she did, it didn't mention one in the segment). The only problem is that pretty much anyone watching that segment could see that this guy is guilty just by where all the clues lead to. I would love to know if the person he is dating or married to now knows of what this guy did because they could be in danger as well. People that get away with murder like that usually think they can get away with it again, like Steve Marfeo or Leonard Rizzo.

Sorry, I must not have been paying enough attention to the segment (I've only seen it once.)

But what still gets me is, why did he choose his favorite restaurant? He must have known that everyone was going to pin Linda's murder on him...

Maybe it was easier for him to hear what the investigators are telling people close to where the skull was found and find out any info that they knew about it to try to stay ahead of the investigators. What I find suspicious about this is that by the time the skull was found and Don supposedly heard of it's discovery by the bartender, he didn't immediately go to the authorities to find out if it was Linda's since she had disappeared from the area. He knew it was her skull and didn't want to rouse suspicion by coming forward and he wanted the police to find him instead. He saw that they weren't coming to him, so he sent them the letter leading them to his wife and him as the suspect. I wonder if the police drilled him and what his reaction was. I'd be highly surprised if the police aren't focusing on him for this and just don't have enough physical evidence to tie him to the crime, it's all circumstancial and that's what's tough about many of these cases.

It was the The old "Would I be stupid enough...." defense.
In this case it was "Would I be stupid enough to put her skull outside the bar where I'm a regular?"

It would be suspicious for him to return to the scene of the crime if it wasn't someplace he already went all the time anyway--if that makes sense.

This is another one of those infuriating cases. Don and Linda's daughter Patti believes her father killed her mother, so she must have seen enough abuse to realize he was capable of it. I totally agree with the notion that it was placed at the restaurant so he could return to the scene without question. And, of course, he happened to be there that night the skull was discovered.

The thing that bothered me the most was when he said "I had nothing to do with Linda Sherman's death." The fact that he didn't just say "Linda" or "my wife" points to him not wanting to personalize her name. It kept any emotion at a distance. And if I was talking about my ex-wife and speculating on her death, there is no way I could do it casually, even if I didn't like her. That reeks of Jule Caylor.

This guy is guilty as sin. I can't believe that they can't build a circumstancial case against this guy. Do they think that more physical evidence is just going to drop out of the sky?

No kidding. Didn't he wait a week or so before reporting her missing?

Linda's car was found at the airport. Then Don reports seeing her ride around with some guy in a van. WHY would her car be there if she was still in town?

I always thought that she was dead at the time that Don took his daughter to school. I wondered if he counted on his daughter seeing her that morning on the sofa to make it appear that she was at least alive when they left...then he came back later to dispose of her while the daughter was at school. It sounds like no one saw her car leave at the 6pm time period...probably 'cuz it didn't. He may have already disposed of that too by that time. And the daughter suspects her own father of killing her mother...that's got to say something there. His story just doesn't make that much sense with the car ultimatly being left at the airport and him "seeing" his wife with another man. But this is just my opinion...
