It's funny how I always seem to associate lines from my favorite TV shows with other events in my life. Today I watched the movie "Imitation of Life" starring Lana Turner. A couple of times in the movie she cried and I immediately thought of Fred Mertz in Hollywood when he said, "Dry those tears, Lana."
I understand Fred's ogling over her. She was very beautiful!

Yeah, a real beauty and good actress, check her out in Madame X, another title familiar to ILL audiences but as real tearjerker of a Turner movie where she acted without make up, she looked horrible but still managed to get audiences to care for her character. She competed with Lucy for parts at MGM, although Lana was much younger of course and she even dated Desi.

So many things I see I associate with an episode of ILL. I see Colonel Wilde's name, I instantly think of that Celebrity Upstairs episode.
I hear Swiss Alps, I think of the Switzerland episode.
Richard Widmark, well, you know. ;)
I see speeding trains I hear that train music in my head. Da da da da, da da da da.
