ok, list what shows you still can't believe haven't yet been released to DVD.
I would have quite a list, but I'll just start with a few. I'm mean official releases, not cheapo public domain issues.

The Lucy Show
Petticoat Junction (the episodes CBS has the rights to)
Ben Casey
Dr. Kildare
Medical Center
The New Dick Van Dyke Show

you can take over from here

I forgot to add Sister, Sister. That was one of my favorite sitcoms as a teen. I'm about the same age as the Mowry twins, so I was able to relate. That's a show I'd love to see on DVD and I can't figure out why it's not.

If you ever get an e-mail address for Nelvana, let me know. I'd be happy to fight the cause. Even a "Best Of" would keep me happy - or volume sets of various episodes.

And please feel free to check out this myspace tribute... :)

Leave it to Beaver"Bonanza" is out; and not in public domain copies; either. It's in "best of" sets, but that's only because it was on for so long. And, they're "early years" and "later years". (unfortunetaly though, without any extras:( )

Wild, Wild West has had all four seasons put out on DVD and Rockford Files has had 4 (it may be 5 now) of 6 seasons put out.

And Laugh-In had two volumes of six episodes each put out a few years back by Rhino (before they got out of doing TV on DVD altogether it seems like!)

My own list:

Batman (I understand the rights hang-up)
The rest of Dragnet
The rest of Adam-12
The FBI
The rest of Barney Miller (deserved to have more of its run out than what we've gotten!)

I find it incredible that Seasons 5-7 of Mary Tyler Moore aren't out yet. I'm really getting frustrated w/ Fox (as you can prob. tell by my sig, lol). Also Designing Women deserves more than one lousy "best of" DVD. And the remaining seasons of The Nanny and Murphy Brown. It seems like all my favorite shows end up getting abandoned on DVD. All except Wings.

Also, I'd like to see the rest of Who's The Boss?, Night Court, Clarissa Explains It All and The Commish seasons 3-5 (luckily I taped the episodes from Lifetime way back when. DARIA is NOT AVAILABLE on dvd. The only set out there is a bootleg set. MTV/Paramount has not officially released any episodes whatsoever. If there is DARIA out on dvd that is released by MTV/Paramount, can you provide a link?

Also, I agree with Jude, BEST OF sets do not count in my opinion. I am still waiting for ALICE to be released.

NYPD Blue seems to only have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. This is NUTS!   I mean, even if they were trying to make them with a bunch of special features, the "Seinfeld" DVD's are very sophisticated and have tons of extras and even they took less than 10 years to be released on DVD. At this rate, it will be YEARS before anyone would be able to see the complete 12 seasons of NYPD Blue. It's a great show and I'd love to see the episodes I missed!

It clearly states that Amazon.com wants you to sign up to be notified for if and when it's coming. I already did that with "Less Than Perfect," but with Daria I sent my e-mail address to Video ETA (http://videoeta.com/index.html) for the same purpose. Incidentally, I found out about "Life With Derek (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438719/) coming out on DVD from another source(I forget where), and had to tell Video ETA about it.

These amazon "sign up to be notified" when such and such show is released really don't mean much. TSOD once said that amazon keeps track of consumer demand for a show but doesn't even tell the studio that owns it how many people signed up. A lot of these were put up by fans. The Tales of the Gold Monkey one has been up for ages and it's highly doubtful that show will be released anytime soon. Same goes for The Wonder Years. I wouldn't be looking for that set anytime soon.
