View Full Version : How many people delete emails instantly when they see............
TVFactFan 05-02-2008, 11:23 PM "FWD" in the subject box???
I can't stand forwarded emails and never like being on someone's forwarded list. I only like REGULAR emails and PUKE at the sight of FWD
Number 9 Dream 05-02-2008, 11:30 PM Yeah, I'm definitely not a fan of the forwards either.

My Mom: "did you get the email I forwarded you?"
Me: Yes
My Mom: "did you read it?"
Me: NO!!!!!!!
lol
InspectorExstead 05-02-2008, 11:37 PM it depends. i cannot stand stupid chain letters so those i automatically delete.
however, there are times when my friends receive e-mails about certain things (like a birthday party or a get together) that are coming up & they forward those to people. those i don't delete instantly.
Ireneparalegal 05-02-2008, 11:37 PM It depends.
Stormtracker TF 05-02-2008, 11:42 PM I rarely ever get them so I read all of them. Most of the time they don't bother me at all, unless it's some lame forwarded thing like "If you don't resend this in 5 minutes your mother's best friend will die in a fire" I delete it and usually don't open forwards from them again.
Janice 05-02-2008, 11:51 PM It depends. I enjoy the mushy ones from some friends I care about. One friend sends me some R rated ones that are so funny. I'm not one for reading long poems and things like that.
Janice 05-02-2008, 11:53 PM thing like "If you don't resend this in 5 minutes your mother's best friend will die in a fire"
catlover79 05-03-2008, 12:56 AM I delete them right away. Can't stand them.
PZelda 05-03-2008, 01:09 AM It gets so bad with me that it's on my list of prohibited words that Yahoo Mail has. (If the SUBJECT LINE contains Fw, automatically move it to the TRASH CAN.)

if you believe in god, pass this on. if you don't, you're promoting satan and will perish in hell.
example #3:
sign this petition, then email it to the government once it reaches 1,000 signatures so that they'll change the federal law.
example #4:
[a horrible ballad is embedded in the background via html with no 'pause' or 'stop' option available anywhere.]
[insert gross picture of an aborted fetus]
caption: "why didn't you want me, mommy?"
[another aborted fetus picture]
caption: "don't i deserve a chance?"
[another aborted fetus picture]
caption: "i love you, mommy. i thought you loved me too."
ABORTION IS MURDER. pass this on, unless you don't have a soul.
example #5:
hi, my name is bob. i am eight years old and i have brain cancer. my parents are too poor to pay for medical treatment. the "make a wish" foundation has agreed to donate $5 to my medical bills for every time this message is forwarded. no, you won't have bad luck if you don't, but if you have any kindness in your heart, i ask that you please take just a few seconds out of your time to pass this on. thank you in advance. have a very wonderful day.

waichingliu81 05-03-2008, 06:01 AM its all spam but i delete it anyway because it is a nuisance. what i don't get is how do these companies or people find out what your email address is and send you crappy messages, even though you have never once emailed them at all?
OH Nuts! 05-03-2008, 09:28 AM I might only open one if it came from a close friend, and since this AMLOST NEVER happens I almost never open them.
Jude The Obscure 05-03-2008, 11:26 AM I sometimes write back to my friends who all they do is foward--"hey, you found the time to send a foward about some goofy joke, silly picture, inspiring story or to tell me I don't love Jesus if I don't forward this e-mail a 100 times in the 7 minutes, but you can't find the time to actually have a conversation with me? So much for your friendship....."
Corolla 05-04-2008, 09:55 AM I have several family members that forward pictures that I want to see just about every day so I don't immediately delete. I look at the subject line and if it's some joke or chain letter, it's trashed immediately.
Depends on it's from. I get some hilarious stuff forwarded to me from a couple of friends.

Same here, Ann. Some jokes are LOL funny. Although, one of my friends was sending me so much stuff, that I kindly asked her to stop. She was in work, and I was on her distribution list, so it was every kind of chain letter, friendship poem, huge warning that I read upon threat of death (usually snuffed out by Snopes in a heartbeat, lol), joke upon joke. It was overwhelming. Even now, if I have to download a joke that has a picture or cartoon, I delete it instead. I worry about viruses.
Yooch 05-04-2008, 05:31 PM It depends.
Same here. If it's from someone that I know sends funny stuff, I open it. I just don't like, even find annoying, the superstitious, chain letter kinds of forwards (i.e., send it to 7 other people in the next five minutes, including the one who sent it...) Yikes, I can't stand those!
Holly 05-05-2008, 10:28 AM i don't like stupid Forward's.. But i do like some good ones :D
