LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CMT is getting in the wrestling ring with Hulk Hogan. The country music cable network has ordered eight episodes of the competition series "Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling" for a fall debut.

The series will feature 10 celebrities competing for the title of "Celebrity All-Star Wrestling Champion" through challenges and elimination matches. Two former pro wrestlers will train the contestants, with Hogan and former World Championship Wrestling president Eric Bischoff serving as judges. A third judge along with the competitors and trainers will be announced later.

Hogan, who is credited as a creator and executive producer of the series, said he was looking "to shake things up" in terms of sports entertainment with "something different and more contemporary."

As a Bewitched fan, I have to ask what is Erin Murphy thinking?? :eek: Even if I had cable, I wouldn't watch anything that has to do with the Hulk Hogan family. No way!

I read an interview not too long ago where Mindy Cohn said that the "celebreality" market was very lucrative and producers are eager to cast C-D listers/has-beens on their shows. She was offered a spot on Celebrity Fit Club but she declined (Major :thumbsup: to Mindy though:she won't do any reality shows because she doesn't want to cash in her previous fame). I guess a lot of these "celebs" do these shows because it's the only work they can't find.

I don't know what the producers were thinking when they signed up Dustin Diamond for this show. 2 seasons of CFC are more than enough but then again I won't be watching this show so I really don't care.

:lol: Same thing happened to me when I read the article that mentioned the cast list. I don't think Erin Moran would be a good choice for this show. Seeing how she got injured in almost every episode in CFC, in this show she would've probably ended up getting killed.

Yes,I heard Brooke's show is called "Brooke Hogan Knows Best".I thought her singing career failed.If you listen to Nick's call with his dad from jail they're talking about doing negotiations for another reality show.Hulk's got a show coming out,Brooke's got a show coming out,and it looks like Nick does too.I wonder if Linda will get one LOL.

Linda is too busy with her 20 something boyfriend.

I think it did. I read somewhere that the camera crew were not allowed to film in some college campus in Florida, so the show may be about her starting college, living with roommates, etc.



I still don't know why VH1 and CMT continue with their plans for these shows. It's obvious that a lot of people are not going to tune in because of the tape scandal so maybe it will be a ratings flop. Same thing happened with CFC (From what I've heard and read it did terribly on the ratings because Dustin Diamond was brought back).

I'm sorry, but I can not see Trishelle doing wrestling. That girl is such a twig, she'd break in the first round!

Do you think this and/or American Gladiators will be affected by the potential arrest of the Hulk?
