AOL has a countdown of the top 50 sitcoms of all time and The Mary Tyler Moore Show got #4!! The Dick Van Dyke Show was #33 I think. The MTM Show beat out I Love Lucy, Friends, and many more! :)

I have no idea what or how they came to make this list in the order in which they did, but MARRIED WITH CHILDREN coming before LAVERNE & SHIRLEY tells me these people don't have their heads on straight.:crazy:

To pull out the top 10:
1. The Simpsons; 2. Seinfeld; 3. All in the Family; 4. The Mary Tyler Moore Show; 5. Cheers; 6. MASH; 7. The Cosby Show; 8. Roseanne; 9. I Love Lucy; 10. Friends.

I thought it was a pretty fair list overall. I would have put The Honeymooners (11) into seventh, pushed Cosby back to 10th (shows in final seasons were loopy), and had I Love Lucy and Friends eighth and ninth, pushing Roseanne back more than a few spots. But everybody has their own opinion.

People could also have many arguments about 11-50; the one thing that stuck out to me was I thought Murphy Brown was way too high at 25.

But, again, way to go MTM and Co.!
