If you could live in any sitcom what would it be? Would it be Happy Days? L&S? All in the Family? The Jeffersons? Where would you live?

I'm torn on this one, mainly because I think about time travel a lot, and what time period I would rather be living in. But for the sheer fun of it, and considering I would have to live IN THAT SITCOM, then I'd like to live with the Stratton Family on Silver Spoons. I wanted to live there so bad! I wanted to check out this huge mansion that they lived in, and get to see all the cool rooms (why did we only ever see 3 rooms of that house? Living Room, Library, and Ricky's Bedroom?)

Plus, it would be great to go back to the early 80's and know what choices to make. I'd make Mr. Stratton invest A LOT of money in that computer software company over in Seattle, run by the Star Trek geek with the thick glasses.

Honestly...I have never seen this show. Sorry! It sounds really fun though! I think I would live in Happy Days. It would be really fun to be friends with the Fonz and Richie and stuff.

I would live in "Friends"--I mean, they're all my age, have great apartments, never seem to work and don't have any responsibilities!

Mayberry. Mostly so I could sit on that wonderful front porch at Andy's house to eat home-made ice cream and drink pop.

OH Nuts!

Two come to mind: One-WINGS as I really like the Hackett brothers. But I'd have to be given a carload of barf bags to deal with Roy LOL.

Second one: Mr. Belvedere - as I really LOVE PITTSBURGH. And like the characters on the show too.

If I could live in a sitcom, I'd love to be one of the detectives of the 12th Precinct in New York on Barney Miller.

Raytown (Mama's Family) because I like small rural areas.

Or maybe Mayberry or Hooterville for the same reason.

Hogan's Heroes
You would want to live in a POW camp?

I would probably choose TAGS. Living in little Mayberry in the 1960's with all those zany characters would never be boring. Great fishin' holes as well.

In Southern California right next to Gidget so we could go to the beach and surf and watch the boys everyday.

Silver Spoons- Would be really fun with all the arcade machines and the train that runs through the house to the outside. Also, Ricky's bedroom seemed really big too!

Golden Girls- Loved Loved Loved the lanai!!

Brady Bunch- Loved the big house and especially Mike's den. Would probably have to add another bathroom downstairs though!

Facts Of Life- During the time of Edna's Edibles and Over Our Heads.

The Haves And The Have Nots- All the mansions!! I remember in the first season, their laundry room was twice as big as my bathroom!

I have thought about this, too... where to live in a sitcoms house or area.

Probably my first choice would be...

1313 Mockingbird Lane... The Munsters. Because I am a Halloween fan and the Munster house is interesting and spooky.

Also (some are not sitcoms):

The McCain ranch... The Rifleman. I could visit the town of North Fork and hang around in the saloon in the Old West.

Aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise... Stark Trek. In the future. Not a house but it is sort of a residence.

1164 Morning Glory Circle... Bewitched house.

The Cunningham house... Happy Days. Could visit Arnold's malt shop and experience the 1950s in general.

Uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean... Gilligan's Island. In the hut with Mary Ann.

The Two and a Half Men house on the beach. I would have to fumigate and sanitize it before moving in though.

Right off the top of my head, I'd say Gilligan's Island....I mean they were living in paradise, but couldn't wait to get away from it, that was part of the gag, right? Plus, money wasn't important there, and I don't think many of you have given due consideration to the impact time travel will have on your net worth.

All that money you have in your wallet will be worthless counterfeit back in the 50s 60s ....due to the date stamp. And if you buy gold at todays prices and try to cash it in at exchange rates common 50+ years ago, you'll really take a beating.

So, as attractive as Mayberry is.....I think I'd have to pass.

Now, perhaps if I chose to go back into "the Odd Couple", and shared my encyclopedic knowledge of world series, super bowl, and professional boxing sports outcomes with Oscar Madison, and we could find a bookie who wouldn't have us killed for winning every single bet.......that might be an option.

But still, "paradise" .....is a pretty strong contender.
