I just found out TVLand can't air the Christmas episode because Desi Arnaz hated it. :( Does anyone know what season it was from and if it was included on the DVD release?

Sorry but even TV Land's web site is known to have factual errors such as the erroneous claim that Redd Foxx guest starred on The Addams Family and The Lucy Show.

I bought a VHS tape of the Christmas episode, in fact I think I have two. I bought it in Jamestown at the Lucy/Desi Museum, if you go to the website, I bet they still have it and maybe even on DVD. We don't want TV Land's version anyway because they cut the hell out of their shows.

I've never heard that about Desi hating it either. If it makes you feel better though, most of the episode is flashbacks.

There really shouldn't be a connection. If that is the excuse they are using, it's just lame. I did read where Desi wasn't happy with it, I think it had to do with all the flashbacks and when he and Lucy did the original run of the show, he had it "canned" which made it impossible to put in syndication. After CBS took ownership of the episodes, it shouldn't have been an issue. As for TV Land, I can't figure them out!
