Jude The Obscure 04-25-2008, 02:48 PM I smell publicity stunt........and do they get renumerated for being on Divorce Court? The marriage was probably one big sham to begin with.

You maybe right Jude, Gary may have just wanted to get out there and be in the public eye
Jude The Obscure 04-25-2008, 03:11 PM Had to be--they announced the marriage on the news outlets, where Gary still bragged about being a virgin and now the divorce will be on TV too........come on!! :nonono:

Brian Damage 04-25-2008, 06:03 PM Exposure on TV-lol Remember he was on the Tyra Banks show
I guess so, but it certainly didn't help him land any tv roles.

The annoucement of the marriage did lead to TV appearances
BarneyFife 04-25-2008, 06:37 PM I'm gonna mark my calendar. Should be interesting to see.
Brian Damage 04-25-2008, 09:28 PM He acts like a child. She always makes him the bad guy. After less than a year of marriage, this is what it’s come down to for Gary Coleman and Shannon Price.
While the 40-year-old Diff’rent Strokes star and his 22-year-old bride of eight months aren’t getting a divorce, they will be airing this and other marital laundry next month on TV’s Divorce Court, the Associated Press reports.
“If he doesn’t get his way, he throws a temper tantrum like a 5-year-old does,” Price complains, according to a transcript of the show obtained by the AP. “He like stomps the floor and yells, ‘Meehhhh,’ and starts throwing stuff around. He bashes his head in the wall, too.”
Coleman counters that “the male is always the bad guy,” but acknowledges he does have his demons.
“It’s not her fault,” he says. “I always feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders every day I get up. … There are days I don’t even want to get up.” – Mike Fleeman

catlover79 04-26-2008, 12:53 AM How long before they're booked on Dr. Phil??
Jude The Obscure 04-26-2008, 01:21 AM So wait, now they aren't getting divorced but still appear on Divorce Court?
WTF?? Sorry, publicity nonetheless. And from reading that article where Gary states, "I don't have any friends and I don't want to make any"........oh gee, you love to wallow in self-pity.
ThomasE 04-26-2008, 11:02 AM Actually, I listed to Judge Lynn Toler on the Steve Harvey Morning Radio Show and she says that Gary and his wife are not coming for divorce but for counseling for their relationship. They want to prevent some other negative from happening that could result in divorce.
That is what I heard anyway.
Scoobiedoo30 04-26-2008, 01:22 PM I will be watching This Episode of Divorce Court.
Videomercials 04-29-2008, 10:44 AM I think the reason Gary Coleman seems overly bitter on television is because he is trying so hard to be the complete opposite of Arnold Jackson. He seems to want to distant himself from that character to point where he's a grouch. Arnold Jackson had lots of friends, was very popular, and had a good sense of humor. And so Gary Coleman want to be the total opposite of his Diff'rent Strokes character "Arnold Jackson."
And I saw Gary Coleman on Tyra Bank's show and he was on there smiling and saying how the press is lying and how every marriage has it's problems, but if that's true, how did the press "know" about the problems if Gary or his wife didn't make it public?
It was funny watching Steve Harvey holding in his laughter as Gary Coleman talks about his marriage being great. lol....
Scoobiedoo30 04-30-2008, 01:03 AM I hope that they can workings out
