FX's "Nip/Tuck" will welcome a new doctor into the operating room -- at least temporarily -- when it returns.
Adhir Kalyan, one of the stars of The CW's "Aliens in America," has joined the show in a recurring part.
0n "Nip/Tuck," Kalyan will play a young doctor on "Nip/Tuck" who joins McNamara/Troy to help out Christian (Julian McMahon) in the wake of Sean's (Dylan Walsh) stabbing in the season finale. Emphasis on "young" -- his character, Raj, is a Doogie Howser-esque 16 years old.
Kalyan plays exchange student Raja on "Aliens in America," which has won critical praise but few viewers this season. "Nip/Tuck" has begun production on its sixth season, but a return date hasn't been determined.
