We are going to a sock hop this weekend and need your help with clothing idea....

What was the "usual" length of men's & women's jeans? Right above ankle or higher? Were cuffs rolled up??
Did women wear white socks with white sneakers or white socks with loafers? Is skin showing between bottom of jeans and tops of socks??
