I really thought that Brooke and Jason would be the bottom two with Brooke going home. Tonight totally surprised me because I loved Syesha and Carley and I don't think either of them deserved to be in the bottom two, much less Carley going home. :(

I wanna say I'm shocked, but I'm really not. It's shocking that it actually happened, but in the back of my mind I knew it was possible. I figured she might pull a Katharine and come really close to getting the boot a few times, but still manage to slip into the finale.

At least Syesha was safe. The results were really messed up though.

Agreed. I'm a big Brooke fan too. And although Simon wasn't surprised she was safe because her mistake showed her to be very "human," I was a bit shocked. I thought she might have been going home. Hopefully she'll have a great performance next week.

Jason NEEDS TO GO. It's gotten to a point where he's just downright annoying. Rolling his eyes and waving his hand at Ryan (when Ryan was going over the judges comments from tuesday night) was rude.

I may not agree with the people they vote for, but look at the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.. those annoying tweentards still buy albums and beg their parents to take them to concerts. So technically, they're just as important as the old fogies voting.

just because the tweens are voting for them doesn't mean they're "saving" them. do you honestly think that if the tweens weren't voting for David, he wouldn't be on the show right now? lol. especially with all of the judge pimping.

Jason does not receive the tween vote. they're all bored by him and are probably brainwashed into liking the Davids. i really dont think Jason has that "tween" appeal that David A or even Michael did.

i actually agree. Brooke's first 4 performances were great, but that's it. i still think her early performances are awesome but based on the recent weeks, it's Brooke's time to go.

I'll give it to you that he's not being saved by the tween vote. That's true. But still, I'm positive that they account for a large percentage of his votes. Little girls love a cute boy who can sing. I'm positive that he's going to go and win the whole thing, and, out of the people left, he deserves the most. But still, I can't get the image of those girls giggling and jumping up and down on the stage last week. That just spoke volumes to me.

As far as Jason abd Brooke, maybe my preference for Brooke is based on the fact that while she's put out so-so performances, she's also put out a great deal of personality and who she is. Jason is so wooden and dull. I mean...when you're asked questions about your song choice and you keep answering "I don't know," seriously, WHY are you still in the competition? While Brooke's performances have decreased in quality over the last couple of weeks, I think Jason's lucky because he went from really suckass performances in the beginning to okay ones now. But still, it's never easy to really like a contestant when you don't feel anything for them at all. Simon said it best when he told Jason to start taking it all seriously. I still think he's playing around.

Eh, that's all subjective. I thought Brooke did great during Dolly week with "Jolene." I wasn't a fan of Jason's performance from last week (or this week, for that matter).

TOTALLY agreed with this one. Well, not really :p cuz I'm REALLY hoping she makes the top three. I don't see her making the finale, and I don't really want her to cuz the winner would be too predictable (Either of the David's, unless Brooke or Jason pull a quite frankly undeserved upset and make it to the top two) but I think she's very top-three worthy.

I was in shock! Brooke, Jason - SAFE!!? Carly- OUT!? What an outrage. I'm so sick of Jason, hes as dumb as a bag of hammers. He never has a thing INTELLIGENT to say. I don't think he even takes anything seriously. He made a few stupid comments this week; 'I didn't know a cat sung it'. (It's only called CATS!) and the whole 'I saw the list and went 'uhhh', uhh" and all his lovergirls thought he was so funny. He's just thick. Then when it was down to him and Carly he said 'I don't wanna sing', like it was the only reason he hoped he was safe.

If he wins, that would just suck. I thought he would have gone home after 'Memory'; it was DREADFUL. Carly rocked it. I didn;t think she'd be in the bottom, no way. Jason should have been there without a doubt! And yeah, Jason is easy on the eyes, but slowly he's beginning to look too feminine to me, and the lack of intelligence really doesn't impress me. And theres no way in this world that he's a GOOD singer.

I'll be happy to see either David's win, but I do prefer Cook's music. I think Archuleta is a cute kid, and I feel for him because he always looks scared to death on elimination night, and something tells me he's under alot of pressure. I'd only want him to win the entire thing just to see his reaction! But Cook has been consistently brilliant, and original, and he is humble, and deserving of it.

This was the first time I've experienced a "kind of early" elimination with one of my favorites since Kimberly Caldwell in Season 2 :(

Needless to say, seeing Carly go was pretty heartbreaking for me.
