View Full Version : Getting rid of ALL of my HD VHS - entire series
If anyone is interested, I am going to getting rid of my HD VHS - ALL of the ~ 255 episodes plus J Loves Ch, Biographies for Ron Howard & Henry Winkler, Reunion Shows, The Secrets of HD, and probably a few I can't think of.
99 % of these tapes are run in high speed for better quality.
If anyone is interested, I am offering them to you for $2 a tape + S&H (plus insurance if you want). This is a limited offer, because I am moving EARLY in October and I will be getting rid of them one way or another.
I would rather a fan have them.
If you want one, or want them all, let me know,
Pat
gotchaphoto@hotmail.com
I will provide my complete listing via e-mail upon request. 4 shows per tape 99 % of the time.
I'll offer a GREAT discount.
robyrob 04-23-2008, 07:40 PM what is The Secrets of HD?
It was a show where they talked about things that weren't discussed before about the show - like Erin and Scott's romance and things that were kept out of the public eye.
MikeLutton 04-23-2008, 09:08 PM why u selling them they could be worth something someday
We're moving about every three years and my wife wants me to get rid of bulk/weight.
Wreckless 04-25-2008, 01:40 AM I would be interested, but does that mean you're charging $1,000 for it? I have the final season and the first 3, so would you be up to selling Seasons 4-10? Let me know, i'll email you. Thanks

No, I wouldn't be charging you $1,000. $2 a tape is basically me breaking even for the cost of the tapes I used to record them on. You can't beat that.
I could package up the tapes, take them to the post office (with your address) and have them tell me how much S&H would cost. My scale at home is not a great one, but all 76 tapes (the entire series) weighed 40 lbs with the box.
If someone wants the entire series (all 76 tapes), $2 at tape would be $152.
I would cut them a break. For a true fan, I would like to see them go in one shot - keep the entire series together - I would offer...
THE ENTIRE SERIES FOR $100 plus S & H
(These tapes would be the series only, not the specials)
I have removed my listing of tapes from this post because I am finding that I am continuously updating it - what is and is not still available. Please E-Mail me for an updated listing.
gotchaphoto@hotmail.com
The other specials are
Biography: Ron Howard & Henry Winkler (last few minutes not recorded) both on one tape
The Reunion of Happy Days: 10 years
The Secrets of Happy Days
The 30th Reunion of Happy Days
Happy Days Biography – starring Donny Most, Jamie Far (MASH), Grandpa (Munsters), Lee Majors (Fall Guy), Adam West (Batman)
The stars I've listed here do not have big narrating parts on this special. this is a 30 minutes A&E speial all about HDs with interviews of Ron Howards, Marion Ross, Henry Winkler...
The other stars listed above, (Most, Majors, West, etc.) bascially have small intros (exits) with them cracking a few jokes as they sit around a table playing poker - hosting the week of A&E biographies
My wife (girlfriend at the time) sat by while I finished recording the entire series (it took me 3 years to get them all). I think she will be happy to see them go.
spreckenzeedeu 04-25-2008, 10:02 AM specials
I take 2 :)
spreckenzeedeu 04-25-2008, 10:40 AM The 1992 Reunion
and the Playing.Poker Thingie
robyrob 04-25-2008, 12:02 PM Pat,
please tell me that you have all of the above transferred to DVD before you "let them go".
the whole series can fit onto about 26 DVD's with still pretty good quality - and a LOT less bulk!
if not, you need to get some of those specials and whatnot copied (I have most of the other stuff, but not the "Secrets" or the poker-playing intros, and that's the sort of thing that might not get re-aired)
TVFactFan 04-25-2008, 12:43 PM I would still like to get a copy of the ABC version of "welcome home"
If Iris takes those 2 tapes

robyrob,
Maybe I should. I do have a VHS to DVD burner.
I would still like to get a copy of the ABC version of "welcome home"
I've got that one. Don't know if it's the ABC version. I think it is.
spreckenzeedeu 04-25-2008, 12:54 PM So the entire series is still intact ... If Iris takes those 2 tapes
Right. I want these two Specials only!
Ha! Found the CD of Happy Days I made. I love it.
I took in Tacoma, Washington
I have HD TVography - cast talk about the show and clips are shown (from A&E)
The HD Biography as mentioned with hosts Donny Most, Lee Majors, Adam West, and grandpa from the Munsters is missing about the 1st 10 to 15 minutes and the hosts are only at the end for about 15 seconds.
Secrets of HD:
What part was Donny Most turned down for?
Why did the cast almost walk off the set for good?
What actor was originally in mind for the part of Richie Cunningham?
What about those rumors of Erin Moran having a fall out with her TV family?
spreckenzeedeu 04-25-2008, 04:53 PM I cancel my Biography Request then, and take only the Reunion Show...
TVFactFan 04-25-2008, 05:58 PM I've got that one. Don't know if it's the ABC version. I think it is.
Well if so email me at retrotv@msn.com so we can work something out
anglemark10 04-26-2008, 10:39 PM I've got that one. Don't know if it's the ABC version. I think it is.
If it is the ABC version, I'd love to get a copy, as well. Actually, I'd love to get any original Happy Days airings you may have. Please let me know if you do have any.

He emailed me to say he gave the tape with that ABC ep of Welcome Home away to someone which in my opinion was a pointless a$$ email. I would think he would have enough sense to only email me if he could help, not if he COULDN"T HELP
KingofTVResearch,
Sorry to offend you so. No need to get hostile. I opened this up to EVERYONE. So it is first come first serve. Next time, if I am unable to help you and you e-mail me, I will not respond and ignor you. The average person would appreciate getting a response rather than no reply. I'd like to see you go to the bank for a loan and after they crunch the numbers, they just go help the next customer without giving you a negative response. It sounds like you would want it that way. If you would like, I could dubb the tape for you before I mail it out. Had I known I would have gotten hostile postings about this, I think I would have just put them on eBay and gotten a lot more for them.

Anglemark,
If you would like me to dubb this tape, I can check it out for you (see if I can varify if it is ABC or not)

KingofTVReserch,
Disreguard my previous posting to you. I don't intend to help out someone who is going to be hostile on this message board.

wasn't it better for him to let you know that it was already taken than just leaving you wondering?
Pat is a pretty reasonable guy, maybe if you apologize you could sweet-talk him into making you a copy.

I already asked you could you do that in a email and you never replied, but replied here on the board.

I stated I wanted a copy of something and someone said they had it and then sends a email saying they gave the tape to someone else? What's the point of the reply? How is that helping me telling me he no longer has it? He would have been better off saying nothing especially since he never emailed before. The was the dumbest email I ever received.

Just try and stop sending out stupid emails in the future

We understand how you feel about the e-mail. You can let it go now. You are embarrassing yourself. Take a deep breath. Relax. I can't believe someone would go so far out of their way to keep imbarrassing himself. Maybe you're having a bad day. Who knows. I did not intend to get your panties in a wad.

Yeah I am embarassing myself since you have a
TV LAND copy of that episode. Let me just end it
Ah, the fox and the sour grapes story: The fox that couldn't reach the grapes after several attempts gave up and said, "I'll bet those grapes are sour anyway." :p
Come to think of it, I don't think I ever recorded from TV Land.
Sorry about that. My intent was to get rid of the tapes that I had and basically GIVE THEM AWAY, charging $2 a tape is basically getting the money back for which I paid for the tapes themselves. I had no intension of going out of my way to dubb more tapes. I suppose I would have with the exception of insults. :(

If it wouldn't be too much trouble for you, I'd really appreciate it. If not, it's okay. Thanks!

WOW! Pat  I have not talked to you online in eight years! You gave me some post-Richie episodes along with the 1992 Happy Days reunion. You were in the process of moving at the time that I bought my tapes from you. It is good to hear from you. I hope that all is well.
