Milwaukee's funniest friends and roommates are back for another season of comic misadventures, and they're even better than ever! You'll love every one of the hilarious moments of this 4-disc, 23-episode collection of comedy classics. The fourth season of Laverne & Shirley (Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams) finds our feisty female friends taking on everything from musical auditions to industrial espionage to amnesia! And of course, there are plenty of rollicking romantic foibles in store, too. Along with their friends and neighbors Lenny and Squiggy (Michael McKean, David L. Lander) as well as some terrific and unexpected guest stars, Laverne and Shirley will keep you laughing for years to come.

Thank you for that review. I already bought mine during lunch to show my faithful fan support. I want the remaining seasons to keep coming out.

I bought mine yesterday too. I'm so happy to have it. I have been watching Season 3. So I haven't started Season 4 yet but I needed a sneak peek. So last night, I watched "Playing The Roxy". I love the show and can't wait for more seasons to be released. The next one is a great season with episodes like "Murder On The Moosejaw Express", "The Diner", "Separate Tables" and "The Right to Light". Can't wait! :)

In "Lenny's Crush", the first part of that episode where the gang sang "Take Me Out To A Ballgame" with Len playing the guitar was left out which I figured would happen since that song is probably legally owned. So I'm not surprised.

There are some cuts to The Quiz Show concerning music: After the girls are asked who played the piano in Casablanca, Shirley's reciting of the song lyrics "You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss..." is cut. Later, during the tag, Frank and Laverne's singing of "I'm in the money..." is cut.

This seems like the height of ridiculousness. It's hard to believe just speaking song lyrics could cost that much!

Do you think we'll see Season 5 released before the end of the year. It would be great. One of the most hysterical episodes "Murder On The Moosejaw Express" is in Season 5 as well as "The Diner" and "Not Quite South Of The Border". Can't wait to get this next set which marks the end of the Milwaukee years. :)

Who can say? I dearly hope so. It's interesting that Paramount has been releasing COMPLETE sets of their series lately, and Laverne & Shirley is half way there now, so perhaps they'll speed up the releases so that they can also release a COMPLETE Laverne & Shirley set (albeit with musical changes/edits). Guess it all depends on sales ultimately. Let's hope they're keeping up even though the economy is lousy.

The jukebox music has been replaced. I was talking about the cast performances. It looked like all of the major songs were included, but I guess there were some cuts according to other posts.

Where are you getting your info that Festival aired in 2 parts? I have it recorded from when it originally aired and it was a one-hour broadcast.

IMDb lists Festival "Part 1" and "Part 2" both having originally aired on Sept. 5, 1978. So it's unclear. Maybe they're just splitting it to reveal how it aired in syndication.

I must have had the wrong information at the time the review was written in 2008. That's how it was listed at tv.com or epguides.com back then. I will edit it.

You can see on this archived page from epguides.com from 2008 where it was listed as having aired in two parts. It looks like they didn't correct it until 2017.
