I was wondering what was the name of The last episode of The Beverly Hillbillies.

Where was Jethro in the first place.

He had "gone into hiding" because some girl wanted very badly to marry him. I don't remember where exactly he was hiding, but Granny would leave a basket of "vittles" on the front porch every day and he would pick them up and return to solitude. When he finally did return, he had a full beard. Looked very strange.

He thought she wanted to marry him b/c she sent a telegram to the Clampetts saying she was ready to take the "big step." The "big step" was going into acting, but Jethro didn't realize it. They had been sweethearts when they were younger and Jethro assumed she wanted to marry, lol!

Jed had left out a bucket of mortar he was using to patch the foundation and Jethro mistook it for victuals (grits) and ate it. A policeman found him all doubled over and brought him back to the mansion.

Of particular interest is the fact that Mike Minor guest starred on this episode after the plug had been pulled on Petticoat Junction!
