I was thinking about this today: which category do you think they used the least? My selections (in no particular order):

Sci-Med
The Investigators
FBI Alert
Final Appeal

Of those, I'd say "The Investigators." In fact, that was my knee-jerk reaction when I saw the title of this thread.

The Investigators was used at least 5 times. Robbery was only used twice according to my notes. I have one for Miracles. I have 3 for Sci-Med.

Were the majority of the miracle segments classified as "The Unexplained"?

Forgot about "Robbery". Also, "Amnesia" was kind of rare, I think.

There was one designation that used once: "Diabolical Minds".

Missing Heirs was pretty rare, wasn't it? George Marsh and Howard Drummond were on previous volumes. Other than that, the only other 4 I know of are going on my dvd (Dan Willans, Dorothea Allen, Charlie Scheel & Katherine Bennett).

What about the one about a guy named "Curly", I think? Maybe his real name is Charlie Scheel. I remember he had this fortune of over $100,000, that people who knew him thought he got by just being frugal. For example, he would leave the pilot light of the stove on in the morning, and put a can of beans on it. By lunch time, it was warm enough to eat.

Not sure about this "Curly" fellow, but Charlie Scheel was the guy who sold newspapers on a street corner for 25 years in SanFran. He rarely talked about himself, had McDonalds every day for lunch, and lived in a motel. when he died, they discovered tens of thousands of dollars in a McDonalds paper sack. this case will be on the treasures/missing heirs/bonus dvd, which I hope and aim to have out later in the week.

Oh, I think I remember Curly now. He was from Nebraska, right?

I immediately thought of "Lost Heirs" when I saw this topic. Was that even used after the first couple UM seasons?

Could be. I don't quite remember. I remember the footage of him dying of a heart attack while walking down the street one day.

That's an interesting question. The first one that popped into my head was "Diabolical Minds...."

I wonder if that says something about SuperSally and myself... :)

"Fugitive Hotline" would be a good candidate.

Which one used "Miracles"? The Our Lady of Guadalupe segment? The Our Lady of Fatima segment? And was it "MIRACLES" on the screen?

Were the lost heirs segments listed as "LOST HEIRS" or "MISSING HEIRS" or something different?

In that opening sequence where they flash all the categories (Wanted, Lost Loves, Missing, etc.) while the music is playing, a category is shown while a man has his hands on jail bars. I think it might be "Secrets" but I'm not sure. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
